I'm 100% missing whatever appeal this drama seems to have for everyone. Kiyoi was just a jerk the entire time and even after we get to the part where we see his side of things, it wasn't enough to make me dislike him any less as he also continues to be cold and inconsiderate till the last episode. Hira and Koyama both deserve better :(

That said, I think the acting and pacing of the plot were great.

also when her mom was like "ya'll are both stubborn how will you survive. we can't protect you" well, 1 - you NEVER protected her before so whatever, and 2 - we all know LBY is absolutely whipped for CSS so no problems there XD

"Don't be afraid" got me swooning so hard but "Don't interrupt me" hot dayum! give it to her LBY!!

thank god we finally have someone(s) standing up for the FL! That shit was getting old so fast. Honestly I don't care about the mom, I know she means well but she needs a real hard slap in the face

I'm sure (and hoping!) that after we've got all the set up of the story over things will get really good!

Maybe I was expecting too much. The first 4 eps were pretty hard to watch. So much scheming in such a short amount of time. Taking the leads forever to interact (and I enjoy a slow burn romance but all these 4 eps were pretty much just about FL family dynamics). And the emotions just seem...out of place. Like when Ling Bu Yi is upset about that one guy...there just wasn't enough of his character built up for me to actually care or connect. With Cheng Shao Shang misbehaving, I'm assuming it's totally justified but they don't show you the wrongs, they only tell you what's happened which is pretty boring and hard to feel connected with. Plus they only show her as misbehaving with zero other personality or qualities. The events of these first 4 eps could have been condensed into 1 or 2 :/

However I really love both leads and will continue to watch in hopes it picks up.

Yes, almost all the second leads have a little something going on, it just takes a bit more time to start developing

yes! It's actually really well written with good cinematography and action choreography and realistic reactions to events that are believable. I doubted watching it at first, but it really is fantastic!

omg I was NOT prepared for the events of ep 10 T_T my poor heart, what a fantastic episode!

the sex scene literally made me laugh out loud, poor directing/editing and they completely destroyed it with the epic battle music xD T_T

I'm dying with that soundtrack. Beginning of ep 2 I thought I opened the wrong file, like...where is that drastic battle music coming from?? and then at the end again, I actually laughed out loud and couldn't even enjoy those scenes at the end of ep 2 I was laughing so much.
