As for the actor, I think Lee Byung Hun did a great job. I had never watch his dramas so I dont have any expectation and issue at all, except on age gap of main couple. But due to their excellent acting and casting, blend with great cinematography, I honestly love every scene.. But as for heartbreaking stories, this is so tragic.
'Til the end Gu Dong Mae loves Ae-Sin. I thought in his death scene, he will see or hope Hina waiting for him., but instead he still thinking of Ae-Sin.

It only shows how good Dong Mae treasured and cared his people, that those people willing to gave that much loyalty. Yuzo and his people are loyal to him. Hina care and wait for him. Hotaru made a wrong move just to protect him. I really love his character.
As much as I don't want to watch any Kdramas right now due to trauma caused by Mr. Sunshine's ending. I will still watch this for my love to Seo In Guk. It's TvN, I will always trust their shows.
The writer really knows how to break the heart of her viewers. I expected a tragic ending since it is a historical and heroic drama.. But this is too much.. I hate you Kim Eun Sook for making me fall in love to every character of this drama..

Please have a happy ending for Eugene and Ae-Sin and also to Gu Dong Mae and Hina and Hui-Seong. This drama have torn my heart so much.
From what I have read , they say that it has a deeper meaning in Korean culture. Here are the some reason that I have read:
1. Cutting hair means cutting ties with your parents/family, since on that time Lee Wan Ik is getting suspicious and bothered that the son/ daughter of one he killed will become Righteous Army and go after him. It implies that Ae-Sin, unlike her parents, gives up on becoming Righteous Army .
2. Some says that DongMae do it to keep Ae-Sin from going out and stay at home since cutting hair is a shame for them, and she will be talked about by others. That's why Hina says that it is not something to be ashamed of because even the king cut his hair.
3. And also some also says that cutting hair means Dong Mae wants to show how he is truly against Ae-Sin and all the things she does. Before he cut her hair, he was asking or commanding Ae-Sin to stop going to school and everything but Ae-Sin refuses.
I only read it on some discussions, but I dont really know the exact reason. But I think those reasons explained a lot. But one thing is for sure, Gu Dong Mae did it to protect Ae-Sin even he became the bad person in the eyes of Ae-Sin.

That's also my concern when I first watched the trailer. But I'm totally wrong, every moment of this two is so beautiful. Their chemistry is on different level. The character of the main lead as captain of US Army who have been through a lot since childhood really fits on Lee Byung Hun. I cant imagine any actor in Korea that will fit on that role. I didnt know Kim Tae-Ri but she's really good. Their romance is innocent and classic, it's incomparable with today's romance with guys grabbing hand of the girls or cornering them on the wall. I love every dialogue or conversation they made to each other. You wont regret giving it a try. Sorry for overpromoting but I just really love this drama.
His role in Hello Monster is small but truly remarkable. I become interested to his acting because of that drama. My sister is a Exo-L and I really brag how great DO's acting on that show considering that I really love Hello Monster. And then I watched Unforgettable and Annoying Brother, and I hate him for making eyes bawled out due to crying. He's really good. I can assure that he is one of the great actors among his age and co-idols.
P.S. I really hope that "Busted" webtoon will have a live-action and he will got the main role. Where can I petition for that? LOL.

I think it is more on doesnt belong. Like when young Yu-jin says it. Lord Go says that he should not try to fly high on that sky. But in later episode, Lord Go was asking himself if he was the sky or black bird on Eugene's sky. I think it is more on if he is the hindrance on beauty and calmness of someone's life (sky). Although in some culture, the black bird is a bad omen. I think it depends on how you interpret it and was used.. It is more a metaphor and symbolism..
