Valid point, Well written response. I still think that this story has a right to be told no matter how messy it is... life is messy. But again it’s not the responsibility of this show to educate people it’s just supposed to serve as entertainment. So are we now saying that we only want to see gay representation in entertainment if it makes everyone comfortable and teaches good lessons. So no lgbtqia+ villains That doesn’t seem fair to me. Also in reference to the brothers... older brother was probably 18-20 when he met younger brother at 10. Then older brother moved out for college. Sooooo I would say they lived AT MOST 2-3yrs together... that does not sound like being “raised together” To me. Also older brother wasn’t even looking at him romantically until younger brother made a move sooooooo I don’t see what is SOOOOOO HORRIBLE. This happened in the cute Hetero rom-com “Clueless” .... granted there was no rape in that movie, I won’t make excuses for that part of the story except that it’s JUST A SHOW not a guide for closed minded “nutters”

There are plenty of Hetero dramas with this same plot (step sister falls for stepbrother asks family to accept them or rape leads to romance) and no one says this is damaging to the hetero community. It’s a show for entertainment. I personally feel this sort of content albeit morally questionable helps normalize “love is love” and we should see more lgbtq relationships on the screen whether they be beautiful or toxic.

For all of you with issues about this drama... remember this is just a show, it’s not meant serve as some sort of guideline as how one should live their lives. We put too much pressure on BL ... I think there is something progressive about BL playing out like all those many many cringe, questionable, loose moral, straight rom-coms. Just saying. Aaaaaah so satisfied.

Go look at the end of ep3 and beginning of ep4 the kiss scene... although it was an unwelcomed kiss she wasn’t pulling away or running in disgust. Then when she’s alone again she is still thinking about her feelings she’s not calling HY to tell him the assault on her lips. Matter of fact she doesn’t even respond when HY txts her. But listen I’m not saying ur wrong I’m just saying the direction in acting and what was actually going on in the story is misleading. I’ll sit down now. I need to go find a Thai BL to make me happy again after this hot mess.

He most certainly is. They have always advertised love alarm 1 with either just the the female lead on the posters or all three of them. Sun oh has always been her love interest and we all know in most Korean dramas they wouldn’t have them female lead kiss anyone but her OTP.
