I already saw the first five of the dramas you've mentioned. And I can say that this drama beat them all (after watching 3 eps.) Well, except for Signal which is my favorite. Also they're of different genre, so I don't want to compare the two. Signal is Signal, and Goblin is Goblin. That's it. I suggest you watch the first episode.. You'll love it. We all do. <3

I believe she sees the sword. The first time their paths crossed, she looked at him but didn't spare him a second glance. She treated him like he was just another ghost (she said she thought he was one.) I think it's because of the sword on him.

Which they all do. I love all the characters in this drama..

And that was just the first episode chingu.. you need to finish the next two instantly.. :)

He's falling for her already.. in the preview for ep 4 it's shown that he wants her to be happy. I don't think he'll leave right away.

I think she didn't say so at the beginning because he kept on denying that he's the goblin. Also she thought that he was a ghost, maybe because she saw the sword?? I don't know.. what a twist it would be if she were lying..

I know right?!! my screaming actually woke my roomies.. it was embarrassing.. haha

I remember watching this in the middle of the night and crying silently, lest my parents hear me and turn off the tv. :))

In the end, this is just a drama we all love dearly. That much we can all agree on. <3

I think it is unfair to say that it was only Jung Hwan who sacrificed his love for friendship. Remember that on the year 88, Taek did not confess to Deok Sun because he knew that JH had feelings for DS. It would have been selfish of him to do so. Then, both of them decided not to focus on their feelings, only to realize six years later that they should have done otherwise. Also, Taek went to JH to talk about it. If he had not avoided it, they might have reached an agreement to let DS decide who she loved more or maybe they might not pursue her at all.

My conclusion is this: Jung Hwan liked Deok Sun, but not to a point that he'd fight for her. Whereas, Taek loved Deok Sun that he was willing to do all that was necessary. It was Jung Hwan who gave up first when he could have pursued her and see if he had the chance. But he didn't. It was his choice. Taek did take their friendship into consideration before acting up on his love for Deok Sun.

But JH is still my man. :)))
