In my opinion, you got everything right, especially the part of Oh Sung-eun (Song Eun Chae) maturing, of course with the help of Kang Bong Gu ( Lee Ji Hoon).
If he had responded to her though, it would have been a horror movie instead!
So sorry that you didn't enjoy the 2nd half; I found them forcing a change of dance partners more unbelievable myself.
The thing is; this wasn't meant to be a comedy like My Little Bride, anymore than the movie she played in, Tale of Two Sisters, was supposed to be a comedy...
The reason I contact you is that you got the two girls reversed in your review:
Liu was killed by the king's archers trying to escape the Palace on horse (without permission); she also made Chen walk through coals in order for Chen to attend to the 13th Prince when he was still blind.
She told 13th Prince that she would tell him who Chen if he gave her a horse to get away.
Chen and the 13th Prince rode off at the end of the movie.
"Instead of three MALE students attacking a FEMALE teacher, this time there are three FEMALE students who are addicted to a MALE teacher."
Nothing personal, it just better explains the scenario better with those words added.
Fortunately, there were not as many 'gags' in this one as the first one...I believe it is better than the first one because of that.

Again, short, to the point, and I agree with you!

The guy with the bottom review here got the two characters mixed up though!
