She is such a versatile actress!! She first caught my eye in New Life Begins for her tough exterior but have a soft heart. Then I went to search her other works, and realised she was one of the upright police officers in Reset!! And now watching Meet Yourself, I can’t believe she is the lively and outgoing Xin Xin. All the characters are so jarringly different that I couldn’t recognise her at all. What a talent! Definitely looking out for her future works!!
I’m very confuse with Master Lee explanation on saving Buyeon 😩
So Buyeon body has been petrified, but Naksu/ Mudeok have yet to die. Buyeon soul was clinging onto Naksu energy. To save Buyeon body, Master Lee will use Naksu energy, but in the process Buyeon soul will disperse while Naksu soul will remain. Buyeon delusional mother agreed to keep Buyeon body with Naksu soul residing in it. However, because it is using Naksu energy to heal, the body takes the appearance of Naksu. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I seriously don’t understand Buyeon mother at this point. Why keep Buyeon body; an empty shell rather than letting her daughter go in peace. Oh wells gotta thank her for that because it allowed our main leads to meet again!
Does this mean that with Naksu energy all used up in the healing process, she can’t use tansu anymore? Seems like the story is trying to make her a divine priestess instead of an assassin (as she will gain Buyeon powers)?
Master Lee also mentioned that there is no conflict now because Buyeon body has no divine power and Naksu soul has no memory. Is this saying that when Naksu starts to remember, there will be conflict once again? Urgh why do I have this inkling feeling that it would be a sad ending…
Binged watch everything in one seating! The action was awesome and stellar performance from all the casts!! 👏🏻…
Guess we won’t be seeing gray having panic attacks on rooftops. Would wolf keum drag him to a boxer ring now 😂 lowkey want to see how jihoon would act a panic attack and go ballastic afterwards.
Binged watch everything in one seating! The action was awesome and stellar performance from all the casts!! 👏🏻 Can’t wait for s2 for more badassery from Gray (si eun) 😂
The drama is set in the webtoon premise and although it deviated from the original material, the plot was still gripping and exciting.
Here Stephan (suho) character seems like they referenced Ben - eats a lot, athletic and a good fighter and they even took the scene where Ben taught Gray how to fight (the look at the shoulder scene). So not sure how Ben’s character gonna be like in s2 🤔
Gray seems more human here. He makes clumsy mistakes. iirc I’m the webtoon, Gray didn’t trust Bryce (beom seok) at all. But here he trusted Bryce and fell victim to Bruce’s trap. Which tbh it made sense because it was Gray first friendship so he went into it blindly. Which is why I can’t wait for s2, where he is not so naive anymore, and becomes more careful in his decisions.
Bryce character remained very similar to the webtoon, the difference was that he sincerely considered Stephen as a friend in the drama, they explored more on his backstory and his wealthy father. Though Bryce actor could have totally passed off as Gerad Jin, the built and hairstyle totally fits him!
I hope we will get Eugene in s2 (hopefully it is in the making), he is one of my favourite characters! Eugene and Bryce (drama version) have a lot of similarity. They both aren’t fighters, but Eugene doesn’t give in. I want to see how Gray would react to this kind of character, maybe he will see Bryce in Eugene (but a what could be Bryce). And not to forget Ben interaction with Gray!!
I was so ready and excited for the scene where yu ri was on top of jung ho and about to kiss him but what happened after didn’t happen like what I had imagined 😂 wanted another ep 7 🙈
Who dies first in each lifetime? And how do they die in each one?
If they follow the novel,
1st life: fl was stabbed by an arrow and died in the snow. her death tramautised ml so badly that since then he hated the snow. 😢
2nd life: ml died first, he died because he pulled out his heart for a stone demon. fl later followed suit by jumping off a cliff.
3rd life: this lifetime they were animals, not very vivid, i think the fl died first, i think she was burned to death by those who worshipped a great evil in the cave.
4th life: fl died first. they were surrounded by enemies from the country their country was raging war on. she was probably stabbed. i think the ml survived for quite some time as fl waited for a very long time; unwilling to recarnate just to wait for the ml. and the hug!! 🙈
5th life: i can't remember who died first. but ml died because when he fixed a crack, he was killed by the high immortal who did not practice the correct way. fl also died by this evil immortal hands.
6th life: ml sacrificed himself to disperse the soul of the high immortal saving fl (and the world) in the process.
7th life: fl died first, as she used up her strength to purify the the evil immortal soul which latched on the ml.
there are too many lifetimes and my small brain couldn't remember all of them. hahaha i hope i got most of the deaths sequence correct, those who read the novel - feel free to correct me if i'm wrong!!
I’ve just finished the novel and gosh now I’m even more impatient!! 😂 The actors casted for this drama really do fit Chu Kong and Xiang Yun very well. I also heard that both of them were in the same reality show together, watched a clip and they seem to have great chemistry, just like Chu Kong and Xiang Yun. Gahhh can the production drop this drama earlier 🙏🏻😂 I can’t wait to see them portray their characters live!! Especially Ding Yu Xi, watched him in 3 of his works and I really really like his acting. How do I wait till 2023 😭😩 I have been listening to listening A-Lin 哀情记 on loop since the trailer dropped gahhh
I vaguely rmb that Yuri will find out that jung ho is the one who wrote that novel in ep 5 preview, but sad that they didn’t address it in ep 6. It’s funny how she been to his house so many times but never notice his posters and I just keep screaming internally praying hard she will turn her head or shift her eyes to look at his posters 😂😂😂 nonetheless loving the pace of the drama, since when will a kdrama couple confess in ep6!! and can we talk abt the last 15min of ep6 really kept me the edge of my seat! my heart really goes out for the victims 🥲 can’t wait for next week episode, finally kim seulgi makes an appearance as a detective, so cool!!
Okay the ending of ep 4 confuses me a little. So Hwa Young actually used In Joo as a scapegoat in case she got caught. Unfortunately she was murdered, and In Joo got her hands on the money instead. Did I understand this right?
Also, what’s the age gap between the dead sister and In Hye. I remember the dead sister was a baby when she died. But now In Hye is saying this baby sister told her to run away? Did I miss something? Is this all part of In Hye’s hallucination…
And in ep5 preview… we see In Joo asking (I’m guessing it’s Hyo Rin since the trailer showed strands of long hair & her picking up a brush - for the first time; thought she had no talent at all) why she painted this. Could she be the dead sister?! Then again, wouldn’t Hyo Rin be younger than In Hye, but now they are the same age. Maybe my theory is flawed. Can’t wait the next ep to explain this.
Also, can’t believe Hyo Rin is the school girl in Wish Upon Me (love her in this). She look so different with long and short hair.
Oh and we also see grandma making In Kyeong be a director of her company. Knew she wouldn’t help without asking anything in return. Quite interested to see In Kyeong demonstrate her talent in stock trading though hehe
And finally they are going to Singapore, can’t wait to see what will they reveal here!!
waitt so with xlh sacrificing herself, dfqc will regain his hellfire? 🤨 but the reason he lost his hellfire was due to his love towards xlh right? so I don’t see how by (the writers) killing off xlh, he will regain his hellfire. it’s not like he can stop loving her after she dies… someone please explain 🙏🏻😅
in ep 18 gosh the way how jung so min acted when she entered the secret room, mentally preparing herself that jang uk might be dead is 🔥🔥🔥 the way how her lips quivered and I could see how difficult for naksu to restrain herself from crying gahhh 😭😭😭 also when jang uk is alive and both of them just stared at each other with teary eyes but you could totally feel their affection 🥺 these little details made me cry and have butterflies more than the kiss 😂🙈
damnn the visuals (like everybody and the colour palette) and action scenes look amazing! jung so min and kim…
so after ep 1, I have some thoughts/theories: - the head of the assassin grp looks like the great mage friend/side kick (the one who asked him to visit the king in the first few minutes). so maybe after switching bodies with the king, he switched with his friend to take revenge - did uk mom know about the body switch, and hence slept with the king (who the mage soul is in)? 🤔 so maybe that’s why the (king’s soul who resides in the mage body) got really upset/angry and closed the gates to uk body (which results him being unable to learn magic) 🤨
damnn the visuals (like everybody and the colour palette) and action scenes look amazing! jung so min and kim jae wook look so good together, can’t wait to see the build up of their relationship and chemistry! tho the scene where the king and the mage switch bodies, that was so uncomfortable to watch. the king is so ugh 🤮 can’t imagine how the mage would have felt 😭.
I’m confuse does fl have some mystical power, in ep3 when the monster was on the verge of killing her (before dan hwal came to “save” her) the scene cut to the monster filled with bruises and blood while fl was unscathed. and in ep4, the drama made it seem like when fl starts to recover her lost memories, the bulgasals will be in excruciating pain… so does the fl have kick ass killer moves or is it just the monster side that kills itself internally? 🤔 I think it will be cooler if the fl will unknowingly switch to her past life bulgasal and kill those monsters 🤷🏻♀️
why twins… idk but I feel it will be cooler if the who remembers the past lives stayed alive butt according to the trailer it seems that the latter twin will eventually regain the memories of her past lives (not sure how it will play it out) 🤷🏻♀️
