The ML should show some self-respect. His character is shameless and is written that way. He stayed loyal to the FL for 10 years, but really? He never met any other woman during that time? That’s unrealistic.
Even if he wasn’t looking for love before, his reaction to the FL doesn’t make sense. He acts submissive to her, even though he is rich and has a higher status. He should be guiding her, not acting like a "Daddy Long Legs" or a stalker. He comes off as weak and whipped.
