Okay, so I watched the spin-off yesterday on we tv and I thought its only available on hulu xD. The spin off sort of answers the questions of some of the scenes in the previous episodes and they were adding some parts from the manga that wasn't shown in the main plot.
Today's episode alone shows how protective Hase was and its quite obvious that he has been through a lot. Also, the ghost story cracked me up HAHAHAHAHAHA and the last scene from the preview of ep6 shocked me a lot like Momoko girl, are you still okay there xD
Yesss. That's what people seems to forgot that both of them are aldults despite on their age differences but still…
That is so true! The older they get, the wiser they had become. You could actually see how serious he was to Momoko and how he treats her like a gem. Another scene that impresses me is when Fukami ask the same question to them individually as to why momoko like hase and why hase like momoko. Notice that they both have a same answer xD. Other than that, Renn is such a good kisser. I've seen Switch Girl before and from there alone, I could actually tell that he's good in kissing scene and even Sakurako, seen some of the clips from the projects she had done and it seems like she is very comfortable in doing intimate scenes. Also, Renn is 36 years old in real life and he portrays a 38 years old Hase in the drama but he doesnt even looked like his age in real life xD.
I've been following Renn for the very long time now because he's Yuki Furukawa's good friend. (whom I really liked and stan xD) This year alone makes me want to invest more time on binging to some of his works.
Ok so as for consent - what everyone is so upset about - I have re-watched these eps several times and he did…
Yesss. That's what people seems to forgot that both of them are aldults despite on their age differences but still they are both adults. One thing I liked about Hase that most people didnt seem to notice or probably his underrated persona is that he always listens to Momoko whenever she speaks. He is not the typical type of other male leads in the shoujo drama/manga who is very contradictive in which they ended up scolding the female lead but not Hase! Notice when he listens to her, he ended up smiling or saying some complimentary comments and he would let her speak again and that's what I think makes a healthy relationship- the intimate scenes there was just a bonus.
Momo is concerned about Kei and Fukami because neither of them eat or sleep, they’re always super busy, and…
@dramadisciple There are only few english translations available and some of the chapters toook months or years to update. But if you can read different languages, there are lot of resources available. I managed to read the manga up to chapter 12. Here's the link https://painfulnightzscan.com/manga/love-phantom/chapter-12
There are total of 11 volumes in the manga and this alone could not give justice to out questions.xD if the link wont work, you can search mangaowl and type the tiltle

@alullinthewind Regardless if Hase has a suicidal tendencies or not, it was quite obvious that he's been through a lot. So I tried to continue reading tha manga up to chapter 12, I'm not gonna spoil anything but there is an exact chapter there where the author covered Hase childhood story with his mother whom we all know that she alreadypassed away when Hase was still young. If we are going to go back on the scene in ep2 where Momoko said that she felt relieved when she knew that Hase was not alone all this time, you can sense Hase facial expression at that moment. In my theory, I feel like there is a certain part of Hase life where he regretted or fail to save someone or maybe he was seeking for an affection that he doesnt experience and that's why he's giving his best to Momoko? I dunno HAHAHAHA watching a fast paced drama is insane xD it makes us breaking down the context.
I think he's super sexy and I don't see him as cold. I love this drama. As it keeps moving forward he is showing…
@alullinthewind yess that's what I've noticed also. Letting Renn smoke in the drama would give Hase more emphasis to his character. (Sorry kids HAHAHAHA) Just like what I've said before, they adapted the drama as toned as possible because the manga was aggresively intimate xD By the way, correct me if I'm wrong, does Kimura and Hase has an umcomplicated relationship in the manga?
Momo is concerned about Kei and Fukami because neither of them eat or sleep, they’re always super busy, and…
@dramadisciple I read the synopsis on ep5 at Love Phantoms website. Hase heard that Momoko was in the elevator with the regular costumer and when Hase heard about it, he rushed them. It turns out that the regular costumer was the chairman of the hotel.

@allulinthewind woah! That was such a good interpretation! When I first watched that scene, I was thinking that maybe that was just Hase coping mechanism or maybe there is a background story as to why he fell for Momoko something like that.

@allulinthewind That's one of the reasons why I read the manga first before watching the drama. xD and yes, you're right. This manga was written few years ago and there might be some plot there that isnt really fit to its relevance today. Some people should know this really happens when watching a fast paced drama or reading a shoujo manga. Hahahaha. Those people who have said that Hase is toxic or manipulative are those people who only watched the first two episode. xD I mean, I couldnt blame them besides we all have diffrent prefereces afterall. Btw, the female staffs screaming on Hase and Fukami's interaction was such a mood xD

@dramadisciple there isnt a supernatural going on the manga nor the drama. xD The intro was just a metaphorical reference as to how his character would be.

I haven't finish the manga but there is an exact chapter there where they tell about the ML childhood story with his mother and this might one of the answers that might tell why he was labeled as "Phantom"

Yesss. Even in the first episode, I could actually tell how decent of a man Hase was based on his actions as to how Momoko behaves. I feel like he was called "Phantom" because no one really knows about the real him (aside from Momoko which she might find and understand it sooner) which in my assesment, it'll be unfold on ep5 or in the next episodes.
To be honest, at first I wasnt really keen on the storyline and I only watch this for the leads. However, as the story goes on, there is really something that they are trying to unleash and I hope it answers my question.xD In terms of their intimate scenes, the drama version is much more toned down compared to the manga.
