It's like the opposite naming convention to English. Instead of putting 'tree' at the the fruit's name, like apple tree, in Thai, the tree already has a name, and the fruit gets 'look' put in front of it.

You could replace Muslim, with Christian, Jewish etc.
Also, Islam, like Christianity, is not one homogeneous faith. So how individual Muslims react cannot be predicted by a blanket 'they're Muslin'.
