Its an one time watch average entertainer. If you're expecting something dramatic, tension filled fast/action paced then don't. You'll be disappointed. (I mean you can guess from the title). Just think of it as a salted potato chip movie.
Does anyone remember the movie Seven? The scene where Bradd Pitt crashes out after learning whats in the box?…
First thing? Memories gone again?! Ayo whats with that trope in kdramas? I fricking hate it. It worked well in the beginning but same for ending? They went through all that trouble, pain, ass kicking and received generational beatdowns only for Yoon Chae Ok to forget who Master Jang is. Yea yea she does get a hunch, she instinctively is attracted to him again but she isn't Yoon Chae Ok anymore she's legit someone else entirely. The only good what came out of it was to see Han Soo Hee play bubbly girl for a few minutes after playing a cold, stern strict character for a whole two seasons.
Maeda san is beyond obsessive but her motivation doesn't align with me. She sees Master Jang as "friend/equal" but also has him nearly murdered and experimented and lets it all go but then again goes back and forth. She did play the yandere trope well but the reason wasn't clear to me. Also her end wasn't cool either. It should have been Jang, Chae Ok or Najin monsters who killed her. Not Seung Jo. They did give them both an arc and backstory but both protagonists deserved to kill her more imo. Thats the onlycomplains i have, otherwise its an awesome fricking drama. Han So Hee does action so so so well
Does anyone remember the movie Seven? The scene where Bradd Pitt crashes out after learning whats in the box? Like when he just screams oh God again and again? That was my reaction to this ending. Its a great drama nonetheless. Action, fast paced and nicely mixes romance and tragedy too but that ending is something i do NOT approve of.
Finally mad props to Jung Yun Ha too. She did portray the saying hell hath no fury like a woman scorned perfectly. Her villain antics were the high points of performance in this series imo
The only doubt/complain i have is why was Noh In Ji reluctant to start a life with Jeong Wan? They basically had…
Although it can be argued that their starting point was a time when they both were low/depressed in their lives and that caused them to support and attach with each other then it slowly turned to feelings. It's not a direct confirmation end but its leading there that they'll end up together. However it would be mad tragic if something ends up happening to Jeong Wan before their second meeting.
The acting skills of a Seo Hyun Jin, Gong Woo and Jung Yun Ha hard carry the drama. The plotline is interesting…
The only doubt/complain i have is why was Noh In Ji reluctant to start a life with Jeong Wan? They basically had it all sorted out at the end. Her stalker died, he got over his ex and their both lives were getting on track. Heck her bestie caught she's catching feelings for Jeong Wan and later she herself admitted it. So why not start a new beginning together?
The acting skills of a Seo Hyun Jin, Gong Woo and Jung Yun Ha hard carry the drama. The plotline is interesting and this isn't like your usual contract bound marriage kdrama. It has a mature touch to it. However i really wanna see Seo Hyun Jin do a rom-com drama. She's usually in depressing dark stuff Why Her and now this. Not complaining though because she excels at it.
Is it just me or there are so many anti comments being posted? For me this show was perfection. I started this legit after Queen of Tears so moving from something emotionally heavy to lightweight rom-com felt so so good. Jung Jung couple had so much fire chemistry it made me blush. The second leads were hilarious too. The whole cast is chaotic. I never rewatch scenes from episodes but this drama kept me going back to watch my favorite scenes again and again. For example the start of ep 15 (you know who get caught hugging) i replayed that scene 5 times on my Netflix. Such an awesome and loveable drama. Idk what everyone else is going on about.
Okay so firstly lemme start off at a lighter tone.... This shouldn't be called Queen of Tears but more like People of Crying/Sobbing etc. I don't think I've seen any other kdrama where the characters cried this much or made me cry for a fact. With that aside, let's get serious shall we? 1. Villains. Moh Sul Hee. My biggest question. What was her motivation? Just money? Lust for power? I mean she felt ehh as the final villain. She never came as a threat. Just a nuisance, albeit a very confusing one. They should have kept her out and used Eun Sung story as main motive instead. A couple who loved but drifted apart and is now rekindling romance again but this obsessive dude comes in between. Eun Sung however shines. I mean the dude is fantastic as playing a villain.
2. Second leads. Soon Cheol and Dah Ye. Gosh i wanted more of em. I liked their chemistry. A wife who's not good but due to her husband's honest, loving child-like nature is slowly turning. Heck they didnt even kiss!!! It was all hugs till the end.
3. Beom Ja. The highlight. The showstopper. We have that one side character who shines thoroughly and thats her. Loved her arc, her personality.
4. Finally yes, main leads. The only issue they had was talk. Like bro open up, talk to each other. Vent it out, let it out and this wasn't just a between them problem. It was more of a Hae In thing. I mean yeah, humans aren't perfect they hide, lie and even fake their feelings but like half of the drama could have been avoided if they just talked. Hyun Woo to Hae In, vice versa and Hae In towards her family. It took something very serious for her to open up. But nevertheless the chemistry between em was peak. I don't usually watch clips of shows I've seen but QoT is the first one whose certain clips I've seen again on YT.
It was okay if she had kept her revenge limited to professor but she involved his innocent daughter too and just like her, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"
I couldn't help but feel pity for the king at the end but then again everything which happened, went wrong and spiralled was his fault. Others were at fault too but the first one who sparked the ignition was him.
They absolutely delivered on the action tho. Entertaining watch. However I do have one question
Did Ryo take the serum or the older version of it as shown in the flashback? Because unlike the old one, Ryo Saeba seemed pretty much invincible in combat and skills. Like a supersoldier.
Y'know there are some shows you leave in your ptw list and check em later and regret not watching it first? This…
1. So let's start with main antagonist Gyeong Ja. What a sack of fucking shit. The actress who plays her has immense range. She played such a protective and awesome mother in Glory who endures harsh abuse for her daughter and here she does the opposite. Instead of just realizing her son was a perverted lost cause (those folders, doll) she chose to be hell bent on revenge and made my blood boil till the end. My question is why couldn't the cops shoot first? They perfectly waited for her to fire then retaliated.
2. Eun Suk. She's the perfect example of someone irredeemable. Someone agrees to help your daughter with surgery but she legit gives her fake proof n stuff although Mo Mi too probably planned to run away from the start.
3. Finally the thing which pissed me off is the ending. Mi Mo deserved a moment with Mo Mi. She deserved to know what happened with her mom and how she ended up in jail. I assume she doesn't hate her fully because she protected her till the end and was watching her past video casettes but she has 0 clue that Mo Mi too was an innocent victim trapped. I would've given it a 10/10 but 9.5 just because Mi Mo either respects her mom enough or doesn't think of her as fully vile but she would never know that Mask Girl was just someone trying to live their dream life. She'll just think of her mom as a murderer albeit a good one.
Y'know there are some shows you leave in your ptw list and check em later and regret not watching it first? This was one of em. Its been a while since I've been this pissed at a show and its characters (antagonists). It was that good. God damn it gets a 9.5 from me. I'll share my favorite moments in my own reply.......
