Is this show really so great? Seems generic and silly based on the Poster and premise

But it's the highest rated k Drama on this site

I think people here are taking this show too seriously. Its supposed to be ridiculous and over the top

The plot is no doubt silly and all over the place but the fun parts are Vincenzo's crazy plans and his interactions with the other characters. I also liked the female lead, really fun.. They had great chemistry

Overall a great show.

Just looked up Sword Snow Stride and it looks interesting. Will put it on my watch list
I read about the modern day connection in Joy of life, hope it's not a big part of the plot

Are there any good Korean historical dramas? It seems c Drama dominates this genre.

True but I think it deserves an even higher Rating. There is no other k Drama like this

I was just watching a video about Chinese history (an over view), very chaotic and interesting for sure.

The female lead ruined this for me. Not the fault of the actresses but damm was her character annoying as hell especially in the first half

The ML was also rather bland.

I'm overall new to k dramas, just started watching early this year. Overall glad I found them since American shows have declines and were getting boring.

A k Drama being in the 7s means its well received and lackluster on this site

The ratings are very inflated here. I rarely der any show here that is in the 6s and most seem to be in the 8s

Terrific drama. Wish there were more Gangster/cop k dramas. Feels like an underused genre

This was garbage compared to the webtoon. I max have enjoyed it if I didn’t already read the webtoon before

They butchered most of the characters, created New shitty ones and the story lacked the tension and emotional impact the webtoon had

This needs more seasons ASAP. Great show but because they gave focus to the kids and parents I feel like I didn’t get to see enough of both.

The world is also interesting, this type of superhero Story is refreshing after the same old mcu crap

This show was perfectly planned out, had amazing Performances (awards worthy), had great twists and the main lead has a very satisfying and sad character arc. Its a really dark and heavy show but 100% worth it. Who cares if it's not realistic

I wish we got such great shows in the US

What a masterpiece. I probably shouldn't have watched this as my first c Drama because I have a feeling others won't be as great

The main lead was so compelling, very smart and always a step ahead. The politics were well done (on par with peak Game of thrones) and complex with different factions

This Drama made me interested in Chinese history. We rarely hear about it in the west. The ending was bittersweet but overall satisfying

I started watching k Drama this year and this was the first. Still my favourite. Seriously one of the best romance stories in fiction. The leads had such amazing chemistry and their Performances were amazing. The SK/NK angle gave this a lot of tension and was very well done
