Personally, I found her complete lack of emotion 😐more bothersome. Bro just rode up on a white horse to save…
Why are you so after her? You have been after her since a long time I am seeing. And did you not see her smiling and happy while trying to encourage him and restoring the Shen residence And about her expressions I saw her happy but after being humiliated there how could she be smiling all the way? And then everything happened so hastily, she was happy yes but she was overwhelmed as well by the events but she was normal by the next day And moreover across the whole series, though she could have given some other expressions in some parts, overall I found her according to her character which is restrained and not open to anyone even she doesn't share her pain or anything with Granny Chen as well but is always happy around her it wasn't until the last episode did she ask her whether she is doing right or not and allowed sorrow to take place, she is not someone open even my family has people who are like her but they do care, get happy and all but are not open, so I do find her expressions appropriate don't know why you are so after her.
There is honestly proof that some people are not watching the episodes properly, because firstly of that wedding issue and then also they seem to completely miss the situation from both sides—the emotions, the characters, and why they behave the way they do.
I understand saying that the ML isn’t at fault, and I agree that he has his own reasons. But what about the FL? Did you actually consider her perspective? From the very beginning, she has been driven by revenge. She has also been extremely cautious and constantly alert because she doesn’t easily trust or open up to people. That’s literally a fundamental part of her character.
Saying that she doesn’t show enough emotions can be constructive criticism if that’s genuinely how you feel, but with many of these comments, it clearly goes beyond criticism and turns into straight-up hate. And that’s where I have a problem.
People are acting as if she has shown absolutely no emotions throughout the drama, when that’s simply not true. We have seen her genuinely happy with her grandmother. We saw how happy she was to meet Shen Run. We saw her reaction when he told her she was going to marry him, and when he promised to protect her. Those moments are there. Just because she doesn’t constantly express her emotions in an exaggerated way doesn’t mean she doesn’t have them.
And there’s also a difference between protecting someone and refusing to act against someone. Emotions can take over a person’s judgment, and that’s even more understandable when the person involved is someone they love. Yes, she could have reacted differently, but that doesn’t automatically make her reaction unrealistic or out of character.
As for her acting, I genuinely don’t understand how people are missing what she’s doing. There are so many subtle micro-expressions in her scenes that clearly communicate what she’s feeling without her having to spell everything out. Does she have areas where she can improve? Of course. Every actor does. But saying her acting is bad as a whole? Nahhh.
You don’t have to like the character or the way she reacts to everything, but at least try to understand why she reacts that way before judging her. Criticise the writing, the character’s decisions, or the performance if you want—but reducing everything to “she has no emotions” or “she’s a bad actress” completely ignores what is actually happening on screen.
But I guess some people are going to hate on literally everything anyway.
Sometimes I feel like, no matter what you do, people will still have something to say—and honestly, it’s true.
I understand that she could have handled the situation differently, but she’s also human. Humans make misjudgments, especially when emotions take over and we don’t think entirely logically. That doesn’t automatically make her a bad character.
I’ve noticed this happens all the time with both FLs and MLs. If the FL is perfect, people complain that she’s “too perfect” and say they want a FL with flaws. But when she actually has flaws and makes mistakes, suddenly people complain about that too. The same thing happens with MLs.
And about the wedding, I genuinely request that you all watch the episodes properly, because I honestly don’t think some of you are paying attention to what actually happened.
And about people pitying the SML, I genuinely don’t understand why. He is literally one of the reasons this whole situation is happening. He doesn’t care about Qingyuan’s feelings—she rejected him, yet he still insists on marrying her and keeps pushing for it repeatedly. Everyone knows he won’t listen because he’s being stubborn about it. So honestly, I don’t see why he should be pitied when he is actively disregarding her wishes and contributing to the situation himself.
Many people here are completely unreasonable and I doubt they have watched the leads other works or the drama itself, they are here to criticise only nothing else, they are just haters lol pretending to know everything
Some people here are really going after Zhou Ye and Xu Kai, huh
Zhou Ye has done a great job with her acting in this drama. I do agree with some criticism, but only when it’s reasonable. As someone who has watched most of her dramas, I can genuinely see how much she has improved. Her expressions shift depending on the situation, and I honestly don’t understand why some people keep saying she uses the same expressions everywhere.
Qingyuan is here for revenge, and nothing else. So obviously, she’s going to be constantly alert, decisive, cold, and distant. But when she’s with Baoxian and Granny Chen, her expressions are completely different. She’s actually adorable and soft around them. And with her family, she pretends to be weak so convincingly that even I couldn’t always distinguish whether it was part of her plan or genuine. That’s literally the point of her character, so I really don’t understand that criticism.
As for Xu Kai, he’s doing a great job playing a corrupt official who’s unhinged and doesn’t seem to care about much beyond his own interests. I haven’t watched much of his work, but his performance here has genuinely intrigued me. The way his behaviour shifts depending on who he’s interacting with is actually quite clear and worth noticing.
He’s supposed to make people believe that he only cares about luxuries and material pleasures so he can get things done. He’s also attracted to Qingyuan, and once he realizes she’s against the Xie family too, he naturally tries to make use of that. But Qingyuan resists, and obviously she would. Her mother’s case hasn’t been resolved, and letting the culprits die or face punishment without acknowledging their crimes would be far too easy.
What makes it interesting is that he finds her resistance intriguing and keeps trying to bend her to his will, as he literally said he enjoys bending people to his own will. But because Qingyuan refuses to submit to him, he starts becoming even more attracted to her. We can actually see that shift in his behaviour, and that’s what makes their dynamic interestig.
And honestly, I’m also seeing people here who clearly don’t like this drama, which is completely fine. Not everyone likes the same genre or plot. But then why are you guys still here on this page if you don’t like it or have already dropped it?
Like, say what you want to say and move on. Why do you need to criticize every single thing every time? And then when someone asks, you say you’ve already dropped the drama. Like, why are you still here?
People who like the drama are already telling others to watch until episode 4 or 6 before deciding whether they like it. Nobody is imposing anything on you or saying you have to like it. So if you don’t enjoy the drama or have dropped it, kindly say what you want to say and move on. Let the people who are enjoying it enjoy it and even if you want to stay then stay with respect.
proof? i can provide plenty of screenshots of GYX hot searches comparing her to actresses like Yang Zi, Zhao Lusi,…
I’m actually laughing at your comment because, first of all, I never even mentioned GYX. I’ve never been her fan, so why would I talk about her? You’re the one making assumptions. That’s on you for being an unreasonable piece of shit. The only other person I mentioned was Zhao Liying because you brought her up first.
And wow… the irony. You think you are reasonable while making baseless assumptions, throwing insults around, and telling people to “go die.” 🤣
As for your disgusting comments about Zhou Ye’s personal life, it says a lot more about you than it does about her. You don’t know her personally, yet you’re acting as if your assumptions are facts.
Anyways, I don’t want to continue this conversation with someone so uncivilised who doesn’t even know how to behave online.
proof? i can provide plenty of screenshots of GYX hot searches comparing her to actresses like Yang Zi, Zhao Lusi,…
Is it really necessary to create a fan war here?
You said you’ve stopped supporting Zhou Ye because she’s under Zhao Liying, and you also claimed Zhao Liying owns Hesong. Then have you stopped supporting every actor under Hesong? There are many famous actors under the company. Not everyone has the resources or ability to set up an independent studio overnight. People build their careers step by step.
If you actually supported Zhou Ye, you would know she’s been targeted and dragged countless times for no reason, so this is definitely not her fault. I’m honestly glad she lost the support of a fake fan like you.
And whether she’s dating or not is entirely her choice. She’s an adult and has every right to be in a relationship. She doesn’t need to “divert public attention” from anything—that’s just your baseless assumption. So keep your stupid logic to yourself and stfu.
Hey everyone, I was going through the comments and just wanted to say this respectfully that this is a drama discussion space, but lately the conversations seem to be going in a different direction.
No offense to anyone at all, but I think we all already know the situation and everyone is free to feel and respond to it in their own way. At the end of the day, what’s done is done, and our faves are still part of this project regardless.
It just feels like the discussion is slowly shifting into repeated debates and unintentionally pulling different sides into it, which might not really help anyone and could lead to unnecessary negativity.
Maybe we can try to keep things a bit more focused on the drama itself and keep the space comfortable for everyone 🫶
No need to pay attention to some rubbish comments here they are here to hate and nothing else cuz they can’t tolerate some dramas being appreciated or either don’t like a person specially women being cautious, successful and not choosing silence so no need to bother with them cuz no amount of argument will fix their minds
her dream was to own real estate company. in e07 she says she wants to do architecture because she knows real…
What I think is that since she was not able to pursue architecture in her actual life, she was not able to gain the knowledge and experience required for it and it is ig not mentioned that she pursued it in her real life, we were just shown the model to have an idea that she wanted to pursue that and in her real life being interested in architecture, I am assuming she must have done a bit research about it and now in the transmigration through her proper knowledge and experience with the help of her uncle’s company she came up with the idea of infinity pool which was unique for the people there but common in this era and at that time she wanted to earn more money to pursue her dreams and if the idea is unique she will get more money which will help her to have more projects and be successful and gain experience and the more she gains experience here even if she returns back she would be able to pursue her dreams
i can't anymore with this series. just how many more non sensical face slapping do i have to sit through before…
Transmigration is something that suddenly happens in dramas and most of the time it is not necessary to have a mystery behind it. At which ep are you at rn?
Seeing that the novel has 2000+ chapters and the drama seems to focus on their career and life, it’s seems reasonable to be fast paced in the starting part though I felt a bit lost in ep 10-12 but now the pacing seems fine and the drama now seems to get more interesting after seeing the next episode’s trailer
Hey everyone so we have started a Yezi fanbase on WhatsApp, so if you are a fan so do join the group, we will discuss about all the updates related to her and have fun 🫶
