It's a cute, simple, and touching movie without being over-the-top. The acting is good, with some scenes carrying deep meanings and an open ending that lets you dream without fear. Perfect for a rainy afternoon.
The contrast between first love and a more mature love is captivating. Xu Lu Hui often behaves like a child, and it might have been interesting if his emotional immaturity had been portrayed differently. Yu Xing is his first love, and everything takes on exaggerated proportions: wanting to proclaim his love to the world, the fear of being abandoned, the fear of not being enough. Yu Xing is also learning to deal with his feelings. In contrast, Ye Bing Chen and Xu Lu Xi, with their life experiences, approach love in a calmer, more mature way. I can't believe there's only one more episode left. πππ I'm in love with the OST. π Was today's episode filmed in the Pingxi District? π€
I've been a fan of MeenPing since Ai Long Nhai and loved seeing how they've grown as actors. Plus, their chemistry and undeniable charisma together are fantastic. Is the series a masterpiece? No. But it's light, super fun, and kept me hooked and rooting for Thiu and Guy
This series is super light and fun and has the most unexpected and hilarious plot twists. I don't think I've ever felt so happy and carefree after watching a show. Kudos for the whole cast. I'm 110% sure I'll watch it over and over. How can you not love Heng? He was willing to sacrifice his life for Boss, but then "If it's not a kiss out of love, I can't do it." The way Heng added salt and salt while telling himself "If I did, I would have remembered" reminded me of someone adding bay leaf powder into a soup...it really hit me hard. πππππππ
I'm more in love with Faifa and Wine's story every day. Today's episode was so sweet. I spent half the episode laughing at their interactions and the other half sighing. Can't wait for the next episode
Today's episode was soooooooooo good!!! Honestly, I didn't see Phun's punch coming when he hit the Witch's hitman. I'm not a big fan of the character Tri, but I loved how she faced off against the 'bride'. Go, girl! The series gets more interesting with every episode. So, does that mean Phu will be responsible for merging the personalities? I can't wait for next week!!
Extra ep set 11 years later with happy ending https://youtu.be/rIcdgalcMUE
Oh, thanks, thanks so much for sharing!!! πππππ I knew it, I knew it!!! I'm so happy!!! ππ Loved watching this special episode. Theyβve grown up so much. And I loved even more seeing that Shi Wen hasn't forgotten She Nan. πππππ
I came to the comments to complain about her. She's horrible. I'm so pissed off that Taiwanese writers keep including…
Yeah, it's frustrating. But there are people like that in real life, both men and women, in both straight and gay relationships. So sometimes I think it's educational. Like looking in a mirror, you know? And maybe by seeing how ridiculous their actions are, they might change.
Episode 11 was really heartbreaking. Sorry, Miss Pemika, but that whole conversation didn't convince me. There are different ways to do things. And it saddens me to think that reality isn't much different. Although I donβt agree with why Po broke up with Thame, just like I didnβt agree when Gam broke up with Pepper, I understand. But I really would have liked to see them take a different stand.
This series is so beautiful. So mature. So adult. So engaging. So real. It's amazing how the series managed to explore and make us reflect on such complex emotions in just 7 episodes. A perfect series: the actors, the OST, the cinematography, everything. Sei and Hagiwara felt invisible, undervalued, and longed to be accepted, loved, and appreciated for who they really were. I loved how their romance started: with an exchange of anonymous emails that allowed them to establish an emotional intimacy they didn't have with their partners and find solace in a stranger. It was interesting to see the emotional growth of the couple, especially Sei. The scene between him and Fujisawa was so powerful. This is a series I'll carry with me for a long time and I hope to see the actors in other productions
Xiao Yue really got on my nerves. π‘ If she decided to waste eight years of her life on a guy who clearly wasn't and isn't into her, that's her problem. Acting all offended was too much for me. And I bet she'll still try to cause trouble for Yu Xing because he's dating Lu Hui. Lu Xi being torn between drinking or not made me laugh. Loving how their relationship is progressing!
The only reason why the relationship failed was because Shi Wen kept dying. I thought that the breaking of the…
I'm glad my response was helpful. Yeah, they took a huge risk. When I first started watching Chinese movies/series (non-BL), it was all drama and sadness. It seems like you have to go through hell to find happiness! As for looking back, it's Gu Shi Wen who does that in the final episode. He always crossed the street and got hit by a truck, never once looking at it. This is another reason why the pendant broke and makes me believe they end up together in the end.
It's a pity I can only give 10. One of the most beautiful series I've ever watched. Everything about it is perfect. A beautiful story with outstanding performances and stunning cinematography. PPKrit and Billkin were perfect in bringing Oh-aew and Teh to life. They made me cry, laugh, and feel angry. All the actors did a fantastic job with their multifaceted performances. I was completely absorbed by the emotions of each scene, filled with nuances and subtleties. Hoon won the award for best brother.
I agree would love to see another series where they get a chance to really shine. This one had too many extremely…
Yes!!! I enjoy some totally absurd and nonsensical comedies, but this one just wasnβt my cup of tea either. By the way, Joke Chaloemdet Thammawut is in The Boy Next World, and Petch Ratana Aiamsaart seems to have another series coming out soon.
The only reason why the relationship failed was because Shi Wen kept dying. I thought that the breaking of the…
I agree with you that the series could have had a few more episodes or at least a few extra minutes in each one to flesh out the story a bit more because there are so many unanswered questions: What's the reason for the "curse"? What's the relationship between Shen Nan, Gu Shi Wen, and Grandma Yu?
What I love about Asian dramas, especially Chinese and Japanese series, is that they use a lot of metaphors, symbolism, and figures of speech, giving them a more poetic style that tells stories in a deeper, more emotionally resonant way. Nothing is too obvious. This kind of storytelling leaves the plot open to interpretation, allowing each viewer to see the story from their own unique perspective. And sometimes I like to watch a series with a more open interpretation because it leads to interesting discussions.
In the beginning of episode 5, Shen Nan questions himself why they can't be together. He gets the response that it's a curse he can't escape, and he must love Gu Shi Wen without letting him know. After taking Grandma Yu's advice, he finally manages to love Gu Shi Wen from afar, without getting involved. When he walks past him on that bridge, even though he knows Gu Shi Wen is about to be hit by that truck and doesn't turn around, doesn't run to him, at that moment the "curse" is broken and they can finally be together. "Thatβs why I believe they ended up together in the end. π
Mo fell first, but Heng fell harder. Poor Mo couldn't sleep after the kiss, and Heng even woke up early to prepare (cough, cough, reheat) breakfast. I must confess that when I saw Heng's eyes tearing up after saying, "Being your boyfriend is not something I would be embarrassed about," it really got to me. Mr. Naruta representing me, but I'm hoping Boss finds his "Hengney" because watching him try to play tough and fail miserably every time is heart-wrenching.
A charming and engaging romance with protagonists who complement each other, work well together, and exude a relaxed familiarity when they flirt. I loved how the series showed that love goes beyond romance and didn't hold back in portraying how full of surprises human emotions can be. It offered important lessons about family, friendship, and love, which is a universal language represented by respect, complicity, security, and sincerity, unaffected by the language or culture of those who love and are loved.
Totally in love with the series, it gets more interesting with every episode. Honestly, the whole parallel world thing hasn't convinced me yet, and I'm starting to think P'Cir might have dissociative identity dDisorder. If that's the direction the series is going, things are about to get even more interesting. I don't remember watching any BL series tackling this issue before. Super excited for the next episode and to see how the story unfolds. P'Win and P'Jin's story is super cute and fun. Definitely, this is a couple that's going to win our hearts. P'Tong ππππππππ
Honestly, I ended the series with mixed emotions. The first episode promised an interesting story, but somewhere along the way, it seemed to lose its direction. Balancing comedy, romance, and drama is tricky, and the series struggled with it. There were some interesting moments, but others were completely unnecessary. K'Orn was my favorite character, though. I'd watch another series with these actors because I think they have potential, especially if they're given a more consistent story to work with.

PS: And I need that opening song yesterday!!!
