I'm surprised. in the comments everyone admires the main character. He's literally a walking red flag. He constantly humiliates her as a woman, as a person and a professional. In three episodes, not a single normal dialogue except insults.
Touches when he wants and how he wants, without asking permission. Says....You're clumsy, groundlessly self-confident, don't dream that I'll want to pester you. And would the commentators dream of such love?
I've read so many times how people criticize old dramas for romanticizing toxic men. But nothing has changed. Replace this actor with some pot-bellied and ugly guy. And he won't seem like a dream to you anymore.

This casting..... I wanna cry almost none of them fit their characters, I mean, I love Ahn Hyo Seop as an actor…
Min Ho who is able to play hidden strong emotions and easily convey them to the viewer using body language and eyes. He was also good at comedy roles and had excellent chemistry with the male cast of his kdramas. he is not at all monotonous, but rather subtle in his playing. maybe you prefer exaggerated performances, then min ho is really not your type of actor. Just yesterday, his colleague in the Pachinko series, Steve Noh, gave an interview and said that almost all famous actors auditioned for the role of Hansoo and Isaac in Korea. but Min Ho and Steve got the role. so don't underestimate him. And he’s really good at action and is able to perform complex stunts without stuntmen. Just watch City Hunter or Gangnam to see his abilities. and I don’t think that he is so much unsuited in appearance for this role. he is tall, stately, and has a bright and expressive appearance. and most importantly, he is charismatic. I think it is he who will be the main decoration of the film, and not those on whom you are betting.

Person Lee Min Ho
Looks like he doesn't have any outstanding kdrama in his resume based on these days.
What do you think are outstanding kdramas? Min Ho's projects are all worthy. City Hunter is one of the best action dramas. If this were filmed now, with the capabilities of modern cinema it would be a worldwide hit. personal taste is better most modern rom-coms, which here are given almost a score of 9 points. this kdrama is really funny with great chemistry and dialogues. again, film this now, slightly adjusting the characters’ characters taking into account the time. it would be a hit. faith kdrama is a wonderful
fantasy sageuk with a strong story and amazing chemistry. but this kdrama is difficult to watch due to the quality of filming. if they filmed it now with all this magic. this drama would be even better than alchemy.
In Korea, apart from true beauty, they have not released any famous school kdramas. that's why heirs and flowers are still Mega popular
Legend of the Blue Sea is again one of the best fantasy rom-coms. much better than modern garbage. The King Eternal Monarch is one of the best science fiction kdramas in my opinion. beautiful, poetic and deep. in short, if you don't like his work, it doesn't mean his work is not outstanding. and the low ratings on this site are quite obviously due to haters.

I watched the rating of the series and the comments. it is amazing. people literally yelling everywhere that bof is a toxic drama and that's why they don't want to watch it. puts 8.4 remake. which is also much more toxic than its predecessors. there were literally moments in it when the main character almost raises his hand to the girl. but the funny thing is that people write about acting. that they say this version is much better than the Korean version in terms of acting. My God. The main character doesn't know how to act at all. the emotional range of a toothpick. You'll never know from his face. he is angry or in love or upset. the guy is not able to broadcast his inner emotions. And the kissing scenes are just awful. no... well, if it's a high level of acting for the commentators here. OK). The only good thing about this drama is the picture quality. but overall it's a terrible adaptation with bad actors. the Korean version is much better in many aspects. the only negative of the Korean version is the year of release.

surprisingly post-apocalyptic picture was good. The atmosphere and acting are top notch. but an absolutely mediocre plot. maybe my expectations were too high. because the drama reminded me of playing kajima. I wanted some suspense, exposed nerve. but nothing happening in the drama could hold my attention.
Still, I'm glad to see Kim Woo Bin. he is such a fine actor and an attractive man.

The King eternal Monarch which u rated 10/10 isn't completely logical either. Its the "Fantasy" Genre so i think…
I also hope that I will like it))) because I was really looking forward to the second season🥺maybe too much expectation necessarily leads to disappointment😅 oh. i love the king. just been obsessed with it for a whole year. and I don't care that many people criticize him. for me it is unique.

I can quite accept illogical things in fantasy if for me the pros outweigh the cons. and I wrote only about my feelings from the first series. it is quite possible that everything will change in the next episodes and I will enjoy the series)

you do know this is a fantasy drama right? so obviously reality is gonna be a bit out of touch in certain scenes
I know it's fantasy) and I love this genre. but it seemed to me that in the first series there is a lot of action for the sake of action. and therefore, in many ways, the actions of the heroes looked ridiculous. this is how I usually feel when watching Indian films which I like to watch to laugh at ridiculous characters)) and it seemed to me that dong wook sometimes overacted too much). In general, I still have very strange impressions from the first episode. let's see what will happen next). maybe the next series will be more measured.

Idk about non kdrama fans but I think most kdrama fans have watched or planning to watch
about viewers of kdramas, this is understandable). most kdrama lovers know about all the projects long before the release. I was more interested in viewers who watch some projects because of the hype, but are not regular viewers of kdramas.

Guys. I have a question. Is glory really that popular? I read that it is popular in America and Europe. but I am asking this question because she is not talked about much by people who are not interested in kdramas. for example, squid said by many of those who had never watched the kdrama. squid has nearly half a million ratings on IMDb. and the drama has a glory of barely 11 thousand and not all ratings are positive. I just remember the story of the 1989 German TV series that was canceled after the first season. for a long time he was in first place in the world top netflix. therefore, the audience was outraged that they closed the popular series. and netflix eventually responded that it was actually thrown more than watched to the end. it turns out that even a long stay in the top is not equal to popularity. I just don't understand how netflix works.🤔

This show has nothing but clichés. It's slow where it shouldn't be and filled with useless scenes and dialogue. None of the characters have redeeming qualities. They are either killers, or potential killers, or violent criminals. All this is very careless! The characters lack depth. I mean, no character is able to understand why they are the way they are today. As if all these people were born that way, that's all!
The female characters are snide, superficial psychopaths, and the male characters are complete dupes, ready to do anything, and I mean anything, for the sake of a bland, soulless woman who has absolutely no interest in talking to anyone. In general, this is a typical screaming swamp of standard Korean villains. Seriously...do all Korean villains go to the same acting teacher? Why are they all the same?
What shocked me was that such mediocrity actually appealed to people:/

I have read the comments. I'm not a fan of Min Ho, but. Ahah. It's funny how all these people are afraid to admit that they will always run to see Min Ho's work. Not even because they were interested in the plot. Because they can never miss his work. But they also think that you can show off good taste only if they pour shit on popular things. Therefore, he everywhere justifies himself for his desire. It's time for you to grow up mentally and get rid of these snobbish prejudices. People trying to be different from everyone else turn into the same mass from which they tried to fence themselves off. and it turns out that those who love Min ho and are not afraid to say so. have their own opinion, do not have stupid prejudices and boundaries. Which can not be said about those who became his hater. only to appear elitist. But in the end. You have no taste or opinion. Lol.
And all those many Hyo Jin fans praising her are just Min Ho haters in disguise. But the funniest thing is to read about the fact that in Korea, Min Ho is not considered a good actor and is not loved. And that he is only popular abroad. And this worldwide love according to the local commentators means that he is a bad actor. I don’t know from what hour the opinion of Koreans about anything has become decisive about what is good and what is bad. After all, hundreds of times Korea has ignored hit projects around the world. And often the opposite happens when something is popular in Korea. But it went completely unnoticed by the rest of the world.
And who said that Min Ho is considered a bad actor in Korea. Yes, his projects have never broken any rating records. But the ratings were always worthy, for each work he received awards and recognition. Only the king was greeted coldly. But you can look at the first ratings. They were about 11%. The interest of the Korean audience in him is huge. According to the discussions of the Koreans themselves, Min Ho has one of the largest fandoms in the country.
And why is he so loved by foreign fans. Well, because people, although they watch kdramas, are unconsciously drawn to the usual style of acting. Europe/USA and Asia have different schools of cinema. in Europe/USA, actors work mainly according to the Stanislavsky system. with the help of a director, playwright and lengthy rehearsals, the actor, as it were, TURNS into another person, becomes this character, or, as the actors themselves say, "enters the image." Therefore, you will never see the admiration of critics for someone's facial expressions. There are completely different standards for evaluating the game. More subtle and deeper.
In Asia, they work more according to the Chekhov system, but in a more theatrical manner. That is, an actor is always an actor. and all the feelings and passions just SHOW the audience. imitates them. portrays them. Accordingly, his emotions must be hypertrophied in order to reach the viewer.
You may or may not agree. But Min Ho is much closer to the European style of play. He knows how to express complex hidden emotions without too much effort. His playing is more subtle and filigree. In his eyes and in the light movements of the body, you can easily read what his character feels. And many foreign viewers like it. Because for them such a game is more familiar. But many kdrama lovers prefer the Korean style of acting. And for them, Min Ho is too bland and boring. He is a bad actor for them only because he prefers in the game - realism, not theatricality. If you not make faces, you play badly. If you not twitch your hands in the frame, you are a tree. Observe yourself. how you move and how you communicate. Is the game of Korean actors has something to do with reality? no.
For me personally, Min Ho is one of the most organic and natural actors in kdramas. I don't like all kdramas with him. But here is a question for the stupid writers. If looking at other actors I see that they are Playing their character. Then looking at Min Ho, I see that he Passes the character through himself. For his talent in general, kdramas are a swamp of clichéd plots. Such an actor needs scope and a normal dramatic role.
What can I say about Hyo Jin? Why is she praised here? In what such masterpieces she played? Yes, most of her kdramas bad. Mainly because of her annoying game. Most of her projects were pulled by men. And the only more or less pleasant kdrama with her - It's Okay, That's Love. By the way. The only drama in Hyo Jin's filmography with a fairly low rating in Korea)).
In general, the more I watched kdramas with her, the more she annoyed me: the same antics, gestures. Such a cliché that passes from picture to picture. A simple woman from the people is not moderately stupid. Kind of a blissful fool. An eternal victim and an obsessive sheep with mental problems. Well, in general, the favorite image of Koreans. If you like it, please eat it.
I hope that in the new drama it will appear in a new light. because I think she can play. but the images in the dramas she has terrible.
Overall, I'm really looking forward to this kdrama. and again I look forward to how the vultures will gather around her, whose meaning of life is to follow every movement of Min ho. they will always watch all his projects and hate))).

funny to read. how they praise the game shk. Nothing in her game has changed. it's just that in this series, her permanent poker face finally looks organic. the romantic genre never suited her.
after all, dramas like penthouse will always receive praise. exceptional cruelty. revenge. greed. impudence. madness. you will watch it even if it is unpleasant. primitive tricks designed for affect. I'm not attracted to that. but this is a trend in kdramas in recent years. which is very sad.

I think Writernim has redeemed herself after all those dramas she sold out to for popularity!! **CoughHEIRSGoblinEternalMonarchcough*No…
the monarch is her best series. the first time she really created a complex plot. only her fans are not used to thinking while watching. this series is designed for primitive impulses. bullying. cold revenge. this is what Koreans are best at shooting. that's why dramas on this topic always have good ratings. But to remove fantasy is much more difficult. or shoot something vital and simple. to make it unique and exciting. Not everyone succeeds either.

goblin was good but yeah eternal monarch was dissapointing.
goblins have no plot. this story can be fit into three series. no chemistry. rather, some kind of cringe relationship between a kept woman and an old curmudgeon. an hour of the series is a change of coats and jackets. how to write. that the monarch. with its complex plot a disappointment. the goblin is good. the monarch has flaws. but the goblin is generally a misunderstanding and not a series.
