I got to episode 8 and started feeling uncomfortable about how this would all end. I read the comments below and decided it wasn't worth watching to the end. SMH.
That show would have finished with KJS. He would have been able to enlist after the last day of filming. It would not have stopped on allegations. That's just my small opinion.
I did not finish this drama. I stopped at episode 6 and will wait until Love Alarm 2 aires to finish watching the first season. I didn't want to see a crazy cliffhanger and become disappointed with the show.
I get it. It's not that melo as one may think. It's just a romance to be honest.
Shaking my head no on that one. I skimmed through it. It's a melodrama. A romance can be a melodrama. It's not much humor to be considered a comedy. :)
I'm on episode 3. It's not a romantic comedy; it's a melodrama. Sigh. I'll come back to it later. My heart is in the mood for laughter. I don't think I can handle a melodrama right now.
No, I'm not in love, but I find the storyline interesting. Why? The male lead already has a house full of women before marrying the second wife (female lead). That's why it's interesting. We already know it will be drama with women sharing the same house and fighting for the same man's affection. However, like Yanxi Palace, the lead female has a reason to enter the Xu household, and it has nothing to do with the affections of the male lead. That's right, she's not interested in him and speaks her mind freely. There's also a similarity to the Story of Ming Lan, where both females marry a Marquis and live in a house of treacherous scheming women. Yes, I can give more examples, but you get the picture.
It's not bad, but it's not great either. There are a lot of cool visual effects, and awesome choreographs on the hand-to-hand combat. However, did anyone enjoy KSH in Memories of the Alhambra? I'm getting that same vibe with this series. I hope a lot of built-up suspense will lead to some plausible conclusion. Memories of the Alhambra left me a little bitter.
It's a great hook to the story, but it's been slightly boring--two episodes in. It's missing something flare, but I'll try to hang in a few more episodes. It has the potential to get better.
