***Spoiler Alert*** Of all the episodes, I could have skipped this one. Yes, it was a filler. It was nothing interesting about it other than some betrayal from the Bin (Jo Hwa Jin). Kim So Yong (Jang Bo) lusted after the 3 Royal Concubines, and the Royal Chef received more screentime. At this point, I'm sad about where the storyline is going. There aren't many places for this storyline to go. I would prefer to see a few people written off before it's over, like Queen Dowager Jo, Scarface, and even the Bin. She's doing an excellent job at annoying me (great acting). That Jo family is worst than the Kim family.
I know this is a "fiction story," but based on a real king. This King Cheoljong died young and without a male heir. As each episode passes, I become sadder about how they will end the series. Episode 11 shows the king with a nose bleed, which can lead to another storyline. You all remember Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol--just saying.
The main storyline is how Jang Bo actually realizing his treatment of women while hosting a woman's body. Jang Bo even falls for the king as the series goes. Jang Bo will have to wake up from this in the hospital. Until then, we have to see how King Cheoljong can survive so many treacherous people with the fictitious role of Jang Bo lending him support.
(Ep. 10) It's confirmed that Jo Hwa Jin is a notorious book thief. Don't leave your books lying around. I'm ready for her to have her meltdown and expose her true colors. I get it. She doesn't want to be second, especially after putting in time next with the king. She's been living a lie in complete desperation. Also, more concubines will mean more trouble in the palace. Who's the next drama queen?
It's funny with suspense, but I'm getting slightly bored with this drama. It's not holding my attention, but it's something to watch in between my favorite dramas right now.
If you're looking for historical K-drama to binge watch while waiting for next weekend I'd recommend REBEL:THIEF…
Yes, that's when I fell for those puppy dog eyes (KJH)... I was happy to see him in Crash Landing on You, I just didn't fall for his character in that series.
If they make him in love with soyong just because she saved him as a kid (and he shallowly is in love with hwa…
Agree... I'm getting a vibe that he's going to start falling for her without knowing about the well incident; however, I'm sick of seeing those flashback. I'm ready for that to be over with now. Figure that mess out so we can move on to the next juicy plot. We know that Jo Hwa Jin desires to be queen now. Let get to that scheming mess.
(Episode 9) The first 3 minutes had me laughing hysterically. This was a good episode. However, I'm almost tired of the little secret between the queen and Jo Hwa Jin. It kept me on the edge of my seat at first, but now I'm ready for the twist to turn. Let's get to the next juicy plot.
Soul or voice? I don't mind if they have less of Mr Queen's inner thoughts as long as it's still implied there's…
It's okay. I corrected it in my passage for other viewers. I was talking about Jang Bong Hwan (JBH), Mr. Queen. I want the story to go back to JBH's story, as well. The writer has created an interesting story for the JBH. Will the real culprit, Mr. Han, be brought to justice for the thief and placing the blame on JBH? I guess we have to keep watching.

If it's like the Chinese version (Go Princess Go), yes, I believe Mr. Queen realizes her feelings for the king. It looks like it's going that direction anyway. I was completely addicted up until this past episode. I still think it's a great series, but I can start predicting what will happen; it loses its fizzles with me. I like wow factors. That's just my little opinion. OH! I didn't know concubines can leave the palace freely. That was random writing, but I understood the plot needed to thicken. Also, eight episodes in, I would think Mr. Queen would be smarter by now, but we're on the outside looking in. It would lose some comedic flare if Mr. Queen became smarter at handling this situation. Mr. Queen would have to act more like a lady, and that's not the point of the show. I have some random director's questions, but overall I still enjoy the work put into this series. I enjoyed reading both of your inputs on the series. :)
Have you seen "My ID is Gangnam Beauty"? There is a familiar character playing a familiar role. The female lead is slightly different because she has a strong personality. Other than that, it's not that special at this point.
In the beginning, I did not know who was the male lead. Now, I'm content with the guy standing out on the trailer and promotional pictures as the lead male. lol. It's confusing. You have to watch to understand what I'm talking about. I start not to care for the ghostwriter and begin rooting for the young lad with a sincere heart. Mr. Han had his chance and lost it in the beginning. However, if Mr. Han came clean in the 1 episode there might not have been much of a show... Right? What's going to keep us guessing. I'm only on episode 7.
Super F'd Up movie... I felt like I had heartburn after it was over. It's definitely not up for replay in the future. The male lead is super hot though...
