good point, guys, is that from book, pls? or did they added it to the live action intentionally for ppl to match…
I hope for that too! In the novel swl went through great lengths to try and make it up/find Tu once he found everything out. I donβt want to spoil but he basically goes crazy and then some. I hope they go into depth with that and show us it in the series. Also, Jiang (swl actor) did say in one of the lives that he intentionally made swl a softer more likeable character bc he was too rough around the edges. π₯Ή which i personally love that he put his own touch on that.
*spoiler* In the novel Hua saw Tu leaving the banquet and he was roughed up, wearing different clothes and smelt like swl and his omega sage. So he pieced it together and snapped a pic of Tu to investigate later. Idk if they'll change it in the series though.

In the book there really wasn't much detail about SWL & Tu's night together, aside from brief mentions. I could be wrong but I don't recall SWL ever mentioning that he enjoyed Tu's smell until the very end of the novel. (And it was lele talking to Peanut about a convo he overheard between his dad's about how swl liked to 'eat' π , so yeah) I'm glad the words were there, it gives swl more emotional depth imo, bc in the novel he is very brass and cold. I think it was added for us to gain more empathy and understanding for sure. π₯Ή
*I come in peace, so please don't be mean to me* BUT When Shen Wenlang told Gao Tu he smelt good... π It was insta tears for me. Especially after the constant hurt of tu's feelings from SWL in reguards to his natural "filthy omega smell". (even if it was unknown to swl, tu was still hurt by those comments.) I was so happy they added that line of praise in there. Gao Tu's self esteem needed that acknowledgement, imo.
Genuine question as I havent read the novel. Can Hua read minds? Or speak with his mind? Maybe I am thinking too much into it. But there's been a few scenes so far that I feel hinted at that possibility, so I'm curious. π₯Ή thanks. π
Gosh. The five stages of grief and then some now that it's over. I've never laughed, cried, or experienced such happiness/fulfillment from a series before. I can't explain the hold this had on me but wow.... This was just wonderful. Truly, the whole series. I loved so much. Thank you to the cast and team for giving us such a story. I will miss chi cheng, wei wei, Cheng yu, & xiao shuai dearly. π₯Ήπ
Also does anyone know if there will be a time skip? From the clip I saw of their kids, they look to be 6 to 8…
SPOILER: If I remember correctly, in the novel there is a time jump, and it tells the story of Gaotu and Shen Wenlang. It's a three-year jump. Which would make the children 3 years old. This is just from the novel, so it could change in the series though.
I loved this so much. Kbl's are hit or miss for me, (my personal opinion ofc) but this one was a hit. Super cute, nothing too dramatic, or cheesy. It had the perfect number of sweet moments, angst, and development without feeling rushed or choppy. I will definitely be adding this to my comfort rewatch list. And am seriously hoping for a season two. Seungjin and Eunoh need a season two.
Thank you for a great series, and for all your hard work actors and production team. :)
ugh. this is just sooo good. I love that we're getting so many episodes and a full story. But the wait! I could cry because I'm dramatic and impatient. lol! It's just that good.
