May not be a popular preference here but... Gao Tu is the most likable. He has always had my interest and wishing he has more scenes. I'm almost watching this just because of him. ShenShaoYu is a green flag and eye candy, good actor. But the story with him and Hua Yong has struggled to maintain my interest. Gao Tu however has me getting excited what's next for him.
People in this comment section seem to miss what gives a story its color, thrill, and worthiness of being told. It's the misunderstanding, the heartaches, the joy, the ups and downs, the complexity of human feelings and decision making! Probably kids who grew up on dopamine inducing content that never lasts nor leave a mark. Endure thru the heartaches and the pain, the anticipation and the surprises, so that the good times are felt in its most blissful - that's how it should be. If the show just follows what many people in here suggest they should do, it would be 2 episodes of common everyday life. LOL

They're fine for me and Sheng Shao is really good and charismatic. Hua Yong also really great. But combined together, The other pair just feels more interesting.
