I guest your right people got their own way of viewing and understanding things. I'm not gonna say it didn't take me a while to understanding the drama but I get what was going on and it made sense to me, like I said people view things differently so I'm not gonna complain.

The reaper found his body at the bottom of the lake not the detective. After the the detective got shot the reaper took his body. So that's why the detective was normal at the beginning

In the first episode black found his body in the bottom of a lake and is wondering who killed him so that's why he took over the detective body in order to find them. And as for the detective in the first episode they found a body that they couldn't identify and it turns out that it's someone related to the detective and his girlfriend had something to do with that person death.
