I agree with your theory. It's a good one. I feel like Tyme is already dead/dying since he was shot in the chest; practically instant death. Especially since he was in a secluded area. The question that leaves is that will Great end up dying or will he wake up in the present timeline ? So really what I'm curious about is how the events changed in his head will conclude and will that effect whether he goes back or not? That or he realizes that he's in a limbo

Yall false alarm lmao. I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't see the clothes properly in the intro. Great was wearing all white in the intro not in the boat scene. In the boat scene he's wearing white and black. My bad lol sorry for the misinformation
Here's something I noticed. The outfits Great and Tyme are wearing while laying in the boat are the same as the ones you see in the intro. Where they are disintegrating into scattered particles while reaching out for each other. The boat scene is also featured as the thumbnail for the 8th ep (BOC twitter) , the last, where it is positioned at 11:04. Gonna go cry in my corner.
