I donât prefer SML over ML, but I do really like him. For me, it seems that at first the SML saw himself in FL, because their origins are the similar (born to concubine/gisaeng). While he has been told to hide that his whole life and follow his fatherâs orders, FL is staying true to herself despite her origins and is a really good and honourable person. At first that made him angry and that anger was directed towards FL, even though he was actually angry at himself (he hates himself for being a puppet, following his fatherâs orders and not being strong enough to do what he thinks is right). After some time that âangerâ changed into love for the FL. I do agree that he is rough, but he hasnât been taught any other way (which is also why he was angry at the beginning, because he saw how kind and selfless FL is, despite being in a similar situation as him). Some people also commented on the fact that he changed quickly and became too nice all of a sudden, but I think heâs always been that way, he was just unable to express it and transformed his real feelings into anger instead. Despite not being shown any love while growing up, he is still changing for the better, listening to his own opinions and not just giving in, and becoming like his father and older brother.

I know but still it wasnât very clear that he choose that. It seemed like Yeomhwas doing. But that aside, everyone was saying he is dangerous even though he really wasnât at all (after taking over Gyeonus body not when taking souls).
I liked the drama but bro how did Yeomhwa not get punished at all?? Like for the whole duration of the drama they went on and on about âpunishmentâ and then the only actual evil person doesnât get punished at all?? Plus the way no one was too upset with her even though she caused so many things (Gyeonu suffered his whole life because of her, General died, Bongsu became an evil deity (which I still donât understand because he didnât do anything evil??)). And no one has much of a reaction or hate for her..
For those of you who quit watching after the first 15 minutes: After at most 30 minutes of the first episode it starts to get really good. Itâs not nearly as exaggerated as in the beginning either. My point is, I recommend this kdrama as itâs really nice, you just have to âget throughâ the first 15-30 minutes.
