XY is essentially a broken person because of her traumatizing past. But because of everything she's been through, she is a strong person that only relies on herself. So I don't think she will care if her partner is stronger than her or not because she doesn't need protection she can protect herself. She has skills so she can feed herself. She can survive on her own if she wanted to. So things like strength or power will not captivate her. I think someone like her would want a partner she can trust won't leave her and will always choose her first before anything else.

For me, at least, I think she's usually acting "girly" when she's in front of TSJ. Whether it's being shy, blushing, jealous, coquettishly, even whining, although she's lived and has the appearance of a man for so long but with TSJ she was like any girl would be with her crush.
