Yep, I knew they couldn’t maintain the quality from the last episode
The Next Prince episodes are literally:

This was the best episode so far! and I’m not saying that because of the NC scene (I honestly don’t care much about those). It’s because finally, the plot is actually moving! The editing and pacing were much better in this episode, and I really appreciate that they took the time to show and explain things clearly. It honestly felt like a completely different director was in charge.
I just wish the first six episodes, especially Charan and Kanin’s journey in London, had been like this. But the past is the past, and nothing can be perfect. I just hope they keep going in this direction, even if it means extending the episode length like they did here—it’s totally worth it. Also, I’m really impressed by the actor who plays Chakri. He’s such a great performer, and the character is incredibly lovable.

From the comments, it’s clear the second couple completely stole the show.
This episode was definitely better than the last one, but I still can’t help regretting how they ruined the series with poor scriptwriting, bad pacing, and sloppy editing.
They really thought that great cinematography and ZNN/JO’s chemistry would be enough to save the show — and to be fair, it did help — but they forgot the most important elements.
At this point, I’m just watching it as a hobby.
I’ve let go of any expectations.

Have you ever watched a series where the episodes keep coming, but nothing actually happens? That’s exactly how I feel about this one and honestly, I’m so disappointed.

They had three years to develop a strong script and plot, and I can’t believe *this* is what they’re delivering to the audience. The series is clearly going downhill. Each episode feels shorter, the editing is a mess, and nothing seems to move the story forward.

Worse yet, they’ve cut so much of Charan and Kanin’s development from the novel, leaving viewers confused and disconnected.
Everything feels so rushed and out of the place.
Did they really need to change the storyline this much?

Sure, the sets and cinematography are beautiful but that alone doesn’t make a series successful. They completely missed the most important elements: a solid plot, proper pacing, and coherent editing.

What a waste of a beautiful royal novel and such a huge opportunity.

Is there going to be another ballroom scene? Because this one felt so different from the trailer and it was pretty short.

This series really had great potential, but I feel like DMD ruined it with their usual poor editing and cuts. The scenes don't quite match well. The script has changed a lot too—I preferred the novel version.
The romance between charan and kanin is getting too cheesy.
I wish the ballroom scene was longer and they had used the violin, just like in the trailer.

It’s really not strange at all. Chakri helped him. We saw it. ☺️
That’s my opinion and interpretation of what I watched, and you’re not going to change my mind. It might help if you worked on being more receptive to criticism.
People and their opinions won’t always cater to your taste. Respect exists for exactly these moments, whether someone is right or wrong in your narrative.

My biggest issue with this series so farIt just doesn’t feel realistic. I really hope there’s a reason behind…
You would do me a great favor 😊

I don’t think I said anything offensive, but if you think so, then fair enough! As for filmmaking, don’t worry, I’m already on it 😊

This issue doesn't have anything to this series being'fantasy'
You should study about filmmaking first

It just doesn’t feel realistic. I really hope there’s a reason behind that otherwise, the script is just a mess

And I honestly don’t care. I watched the same episode as you, and that’s my opinion. You won’t change it by throwing around your toxic positivity so good luck 😊

Kanin ending up at Charan and Vedish place was a little bit strange
It is either the not well executed storyline or editing

It’s to be expected that he would be walking on eggshells and awkward around his son. He doesn’t know him…
Yeah, sure!
Your replies to everyone else here already gave that away.

Let people criticize in peace
Stop projecting this positive mindset on others
It's so annoying

I still can’t wrap my head around Kanin’s biological father’s behavior. He had zero reaction upon hearing his son was alive, and now he acts kind of emotionless toward him.
Also, the king casually dropping major news left and right just doesn’t make sense.
I don’t know—at the very least, they should’ve made it feel more realistic.
When Kanin said, "We shared a bed for nights," I was like—wait, what? Did I miss something?
I also wish they had paid more attention to the editing and cutting.
But overall, it’s not bad so far. I just had high expectations but nothing is perfect.
It’s still not one of my favorite BL series, and honestly,
it’s too early to say it will be.

I mean...I dislike complaining or being negative (honestly I'd prefer to not say anything and let people get on…
In my opinion, the pacing of the England scenes felt rushed (I'm not gonna talk about the fake london bc obviously they didn’t have the budget or time to film there which is understandable)
And please, let people criticize—stop projecting your opinion onto others.
Not everything has to cater to your taste.
That said, they really should’ve made the plot more believable.
Some scenes just didn’t add up, especially the one with the king and Kanin’s biological father.
The lack of emotion and reaction in that moment was honestly frustrating.

Yeah, I prefer the book too. I’ve been saying it since episode 1 everything feels so rushed. I was really looking forward to the fencing match as well.
The moment we say anything, we’re suddenly labeled as haters or the bad guys.
