I have yet to watch this, but Idk, based on spoilers, it seems realistic to me, as people often act selfish, irracional,…
It's not that we didn't like the reality-based format. It was just a draaaag, how they were directed to act. They paused between each word it seemed, moved at a snail's pace. Even when they were happy, it took so long to manifest a smile. There was no urgency, I literally had to snap myself awake to continue watching at times. And these are GREAT actors, they could've brought these characters to life! I'm just glad I watched it as it aired, there's no way I could've binge watched this, unless I wanted to sleep and hibernate like a bear LoL
You are correct, and that's an absolutely valid way to look at it. Right or wrong, he took the anger from their daughter who would have directed it to the mother all those years, even though she deserved it. He protected his wife, who I'm sure was just as devastated and heartbroken after their son died. Maybe that's ultimately why he did it. The pain of knowing he died because of her mistake was probably to much pain to bear.
The dad's story stole the show for me. What a twist... What a gem of a man! He did it all for the Interest of Love. After that shock, I was realizing I'm not even interested in the rest of these couples outcomes.
If JD really had an affair, like seriously why can't they find a better LADY for his character, why that ugly…
Yes, that crossed my mind too. But with 3 episodes left I bet there's more to this. They always end the episodes with us thinking one thing, and come back in the next with a totally different meaning to what they had us believing LoL
I have this crazy thought, maybe its been mentioned, but... What if the FL had a baby she gave up for adoption after her assault many years ago? And that baby turns out to be the girl who had the miscarriage (who she thinks is her stepson's ex-girlfriend). The way this drama's going, who knows the direction the trolley will take next!
FL is now more annoying to me than the SFL. She's at least fighting (a losing battle) for the ML. Yes I don't like her antics, but for her it's all or nothing. She's controlled by family, hurt by her 1st love (although I don't think she knows the depths her family went to with that) and she realized money can't buy love, literally! Everything she's doing, fighting tooth and nail, I want to see the FL do for the ML. Not this, what looks like a set-up. I get that she's F'd up over what happened to her brother because of her father, I have to give her that, that's no small issue. Even in the teaser the ML and SML are pining over her. She's the only one sabotaging and not fighting for the interest of love!
These leads are so funny 😂 I love the pacing and how the other stories progress, but it isn't too long before we see our mains again. Can't wait for the "rom" part of RomCom 🥰 I am thoroughly enjoying this one!
I love how Kdramas intertwine the messy beginnings of the main leads, it's just perfect and funny at the same time. This is going to take me happily through the winter months. My favorite line was from the second (possible?) couple, when she first saw him and thought, "Goodness, he's totally my type. Fragile and pale." LoL The cast so far, from the daughter, her love interest, to the other moms and students, their timing is just right. I think we have a Grade A RomCom here (pun intended)!
Honestly, I'll too agree that S1 was superior. Had these points been addressed then S2 might have been better:1)…
I agree with the Naksu part. In the very 1st episode of season 1, she left such a badass impression (and it was this actress from season 2 that portrayed it), that we wanted another glimpse of that excitement. After shifting into Mudeok, most of those episodes were building up until we got to see Naksu the assassin at the end of season 1 (with the other actress portraying it). I get the development of the mains, and wanting to portray their love story, but still... We wanted more action scences! And in the end, I love this story, and I will take what they gave us. The Hong sisters gave us a happy ending, unlike the K-Traumas I hear so many others complain about LoL
I'm on episode 8, watching when I can. I'll get there! 🙃🙆♀️
Shoulda saw it coming LoL I mean it's a political story above all! 🙆♀️🙃

Otherwise, I'm liking this drama and can't wait to see how it unfolds!
