Same here..:)- I’m watching “I am the years you are the stars” ..(which is pretty good, bit of “twilight kind of vibes, the ML and FL are both smart and romance /work well together ) Party A who lives beside me -started out very good and then..meh Bulgasal: Immortal Souls (going to start that soon - reminds me a bit of Goblin). Waiting on Lucky with you to get subbed I’m probably going to review Meteor garden (the recent one) again for comparison.. I finished Hana Yori (10 episodes the other day) I’ll try to watch the other 10 this week.. I love going deeper into the characters and checking out the different versions

I see what you mean about him being non functioning human initially. (his mom is horrible to him and he probably felt unloved/unwanted /rejected ..) so he does that to others to make himself feel more important.. his character arc was more defined (i felt) quicker and he realizes quicker that he does not & can not own Makino (which I liked) he waited til she told him how she felt about him. I appreciated his letting her be independent and come to him
I felt like Meteor Garden took a lot longer for her to like him (like 20 plus episodes) bc she would commit and then ..not.. so that was drawn out… The ML (dylan) was very good..I think that was his first major ML in a drama … he was a bit more likable character wise initially … I do feel the Thai version is showing a more “relatable“ ML also (maybe it’s because we’ve all seen so many versions ) but I like what I see so far:) I have to say it’s like Pride and Prejudice to me ..I love it :) and every version has its unique character “flaws and reveals “ so I’ll watch them all !!! LOL
I’ve always wanted to see more of her BF and the other F4 guy and that was done well in MG… they seem to be alluding to that in this drama ..:) What else are you watching? Anything good? …

I have seen every version of Boys over flowers .. and I have to say I really like this version so far. The FL is strong with just the right amount of insecurity .. the ML is a bully but not totally hateable..(you can see his abandonment issues and angst in his eyes) .. I rewatched the Japanese version recently and the Ml in that started out really despicable (he seemed ok with her being raped) .. my favorite one is the C drama -Meteor Shower even though that one had a lot of filler episodes I enjoyed the many opportunities to see the relationship building and her getting to know him and then really liking him in the end. With the Korean version I kind of felt like she never 100% committed to the ML..like she was looking at the 2nd ML from the corner of her eyes ( it’s probably just me thinking that:) I definitely like the flow of this new one . Even though I know what’s coming next I still hate waiting for each episode
i am so excited for it and since MV dropped, i hope it comes out soon!!
He’s good in all the dramas I’ve seen him in.. historical and modern:) I’m finishing up “My heart” (really cute start but then it got a bit draggy).. any good dramas your watching now? I’m waiting on “Lucky with You” sb out tomorrow and I’m really enjoying “I am the years you are the stars”
I really want to watch this show, but the subs are soooo bad 😫 😩
I love the drama but the subs really are bad. I have to try to translate what I think they are actually saying..,in one scene she said “parking” and he pulled over the car.. I assume she said “pull over and park the car” lol…
Oh my gosh..this is adorable.. his face when he looks at her is precious..he’s fallen for her and he’s not really fighting it too much :). I kinda like her character.. yes she’s simple (in her way) but she’s honorable (I’m up to episode 10) and has a vision for her life.. who she is and her character arc are becoming clearer as the drama progresses .. There’s definitely some hidden secrets and I’m curious as to the answers.. this is light fluffy ..love the adventure part and how so far I have not been bored .. love the chemistry and how they are developing a relationship on a deeper level.. if you’re on the fence stay with it.. she gets more interesting and he gets more adorable…just sayin:D
My bad….lol. I was so bummed when they only posted to episode 14 .. just saw 15 and 16 are up ..so I’m waiting on subs.. I’m really enjoying the drama;)
I really really wanted to like this drama.. I gave it a good shot.. first 15 16 episodes and then just started skipping episodes because it was the same formula over and over .. she (ridiculously) messes up he rescues her , he gets jealous of his brother.. Queen dowager hates her ..blah blah…
seriously this is a 16 episode drama stretched out to 34 .. I so wish they had given her character something meaningful that drew you in.. and an arc that showed her maturing and thinking more like a person who thought about then consequences of her actions.. she was one dimensional and never seemed to change ..like a child who only knew how to get into trouble and then keep apologizing thinking it was ok.. Prince Jun and Jin were good but those two with the back and forth for her ..just got too repetitive.. Romance.. really really slow burn and it’s a couple of pecks.. I didn’t feel the chemistry because it seemed like prince Jun was always upset/in love/angry/frustrated/jealous of her …..when the Queen wasn’t trying to kill her .. I read one of the commenters that said she was 15 years old, and it does explain some of her behavior.. (i kindof wanted to smack her a few times) anyhooo…this one was one that I couldn’t finish it soon enough..
Ok I’m just gonna say it.. you know when you watch a drama and the whole drama the leads have been going back bf forth being misunderstood and they want to tell the truth but they can’t and one is jealous of someone else and they misunderstand and get mad .. then they kiss but then the next scene it’s like they never kissed .. and it’s a lot of filler…. it’s a constant ..wth?? this was that.. so if your gonna watch it .. watch the fist 10 -15 the. The last 5…or else you will regret the hours lost .. (just sayin) ..and for those of you who liked it ..I apologize for my rant…:( I’m sorry:( nuf said
Anyone know if the latest episodes 11-14 are going to be subbed anytime soon. I’m seriously enjoying this drama..I love how the ML is NOT a CEO, super rich, mean, non respectful..etc.. he’s a hard worker who is a good person , he believes in the capability of the FL …he’s serious but she’s perfect for him to enjoy life and relax a little .. I love their interactions and how he likes her but he doesn’t quite know how to get that across ,to her :)
