It was too good.

It is a slow moving drama but I am liking it, it’s sad and has me wanting to watch it more and more to see the main leads get their happiness. Also the transition of the female lead from a playful girl to a courageous empress is excellent.

I am loving the show and the main leads so much but the two roommates always steal the show when they make an appearance. Love them ;)

It was a superb drama. I mean though it was cliche, it was actually captivating. Who doesn’t like a little cliche from time to time.. I certainly do.

I guess everyone has different opinions but I think this drama was totally outstanding. It was sweet and very romantic. A lot of dramas nowadays always have so many misunderstandings and problems that are never getting solved. In this drama, there were no break ups after the main leads got together, only funny little arguments. Even Jiang Jun's father's death and Lin Taimo's plans were revealed early and not right towards the end.
Also the second male lead, Du Lei was portrayed differently from other second male leads in dramas. We are always wanting the second male lead to have a better storyline as well but in this one, I personally did not get the second male lead syndrome though I did like the fact that he helped Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai.
The ending was perfect, nothing too extra or nothing too less.
I love Leo so maybe I loved this drama more because of him but him and Bai Lu do have great chemistry.
Overall, I would totally recommend the drama to everyone who likes watching Chinese Dramas
