QOT wasn't spectacular to me. Which is a pity because I absolutely loved CLOY. What really carried this drama were the A-listers Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun. I loved Park Sung Hoon too but the villains just got way too much screentime than they should have. It was a beautiful drama but it didn't quite deliver the in depth marital introspection I was expecting (and which they promised from the start) from the show's premise. It totally wasted that potential with amnesia, villainous stalkers, and chaebol business wars.

Watched this one while airing and it was one of the worst Kdramas I've ever seen. I rated this a 4/10. Just terrible. Awful writing. The only positive thing was Yoo Yeon Seok's acting but even he wasn't able to save this trainwreck of a drama.

Lee Shi Eun really succeeded in bringing the Second Male Lead archetype to life as she had always wanted in Lovely…
It’s a 2023 historical K-drama, so it’s a bit longer than Lovely Runner and leans more into serious themes, since it’s set during a time of war and the Qing invasion of Joseon (Korea). The love story is also one-sided for a much longer stretch. But if you’re looking for a male lead like this, he’s definitely the perfect fit.

Please, recommend ML similar to Seon Jae! 🥺🙏🙏🙏
Lee Shi Eun really succeeded in bringing the Second Male Lead archetype to life as she had always wanted in Lovely Runner that's why it's so easy to fall in love with Sun Jae. You can try My Dearest if you haven't yet. The ML's love for the FL is the same, boundless and unconditional. He also fell in love with her at first sight.

the 2nd ml extraordinary you was abusive
I agree. I absolutely DESPISED him. He was so verbally abusive to the FL. I hated him so much that his so-called redemption later on did not reduce my dislike of him, not even an iota of it.

Terminal patient with no cureShe dies but she finds love and makes the movie she loved the most. It’s not tragic…
Okay. I love the actor so I'll trust that this is gonna be good. I usually dislike sad endings but I'll give this one a shot.

9.4 woahh wtf?? can someone tell me if its a better slice of life than twinkling watermelon?
While Twinkling Watermelon was good (except for the ending I wished for-unpopular opinion-a more realistic one), it is nowhere near the calibre of When Life Gives You Tangerines. The best comparison for this Kdrama is Reply 1988. But I love Tangerines so much more.

Didn't like it when I watched the first few episodes and couldn't find what the hype was all about so I stopped…
Yes because this Kdrama was never meant to simply entertain. It’s a slice-of-life story that changes you from the inside out: the way you view your life, and how you treat the people you love. It offers one of the most realistic portrayals of sacrifice, resilience, self-respect, devotion and love between a married couple, between parent and child, among members of a community, and even the devastating aftermath of losing a child, a gaping wound that never truly heals even with the passage of time. At one point, you might even find yourself disliking the daughter and son a lot, not because they're badly written, but because they reflect the way many of us have misunderstood or disrespected our aging parents. I’m so glad it’s the highest-rated Kdrama here on MDL and holds a 9.1 on IMDb. As a solid ISTJ and a Kdrama watcher of more than 10 years, I couldn’t find a single flaw on all fronts. It was simply… flawless. It's my Top 1 Kdrama of all time. I was watching this while airing and I bawled so hard in some scenes because they all hit close to home.

Also watched this because of the LR comparison. Currently in episode 2 and I find the ML rather dull. I'm not…
Yeah lol I even came across a scene in the Cdrama The Best Thing that mirrored the plot twist umbrella in the rain scene in LR's episode 2. It’s honestly kind of funny. Just goes to show how iconic Lovely Runner has become.

The way Head Over Heels is being directed is honestly great. The visual effects is beautiful too. Production is high quality. It's just that I still can't see their chemistry and I feel that the acting of the ML needs more work especially the microexpressions and nuances especially the expression in his eyes. The FL is very charming and pretty, well-suited for her character. Yeah I would definitely agree it will nowhere be near Lovely Runner. It set the standard for what a romcom/romance Kdrama masterpiece should be. Like, you can definitely see its influence in HOH.

I’m on ep 10 and I’m so frusturated with the FML. I understand why she’s acting the way she is but can someone…
Saving his life is her top priority over everything even her feelings for him. Sun Jae can never leave Sol. Even if he loses his memory, he will always be drawn to her and fall in love with her all over again. It's their fate. Hang on until the end, it's gonna be worth it.

nah! that's just your delusion.there are no other Im Sols, there is only one, when a timeline is changed or erased…
I think the writer never intended to expound on the timetraveling technicalities and the serial killer's background. I also found that aspect of the drama weak but that was her intention.

Dear lovely runner fan, I have a suggestion for you. Currently airing drama ' Head over heels' is kinda giving…
Also watched this because of the LR comparison. Currently in episode 2 and I find the ML rather dull. I'm not feeling the chemistry yet because the FL looks too young for him. But I'm giving it a chance in the next episodes. The horror/fantasy aspect reminds me a lot of The Master's Sun.
