This drama was all over the place. The subs are terrible. The plot is wishy washy and there’s so many misunderstandings I can’t even count. Coupled with the terrible music and random voice isolations and trash editing. Main couple was cute and I would have loved to see them in a more serious and professional drama because they have decent chemistry. Side couples were a drag. This was a very cringe watch but it’s fine if you just need something to pass some time. Just don’t go into this expecting anything special. 7.0/10
I just finished part 2 and I’m honestly speechless with how perfect this drama is. I’m going to have to get my witts together and sleep on it and do a thorough review when the pain from the fact that this drama has ended is settled. I no doubt recommend this series 100/10. This drama honestly needs to get boosted to the top of the most popular list. Send a message, the way this drama was executed needs to be more common with other dramas in the future.
I like this drama for what it is. A cute melodrama with a suspenseful sub plot. Where was the “romance” in “slow burn romance”?!? A movie date is all we get?!? No intamacy whatsoever. I feel a bit decieved but like I said it’s a pretty good drama if you aren’t looking for any romance. Side note, I feel like the “no romance or kissing” thing is very common for the actor who plays ML(Dae Beom). I watched his other drama on Netflix “Run On” and it was the same situation. The main plot of “Parents with overbearing expectations” the subplot of “the life of a film translater” was pushed to the forefront while the romance was pretty much in the shadows throwing us a awkward kiss at the end. Anyways, 8/10 I recommend.
This was a really good drama. Well executed plot. I have no huge complaints. Chemistry between the MLs was beyond imagination and the kiss scenes were 💥despite the fact that they were so spread apart throughout episodes, sheesh I highly recommend 10/10. Also, maybe unpopular opinion but the 7th prince and his wife were the best couple. So cute lololol.
As someone who has watched the Chinese adaptation(Use for my Talent) first, it took me a very VERY long time to watch this Korean adaptation despite the fact that I prefer Korean romseries over Chinese, because of the simple fact of how moving ‘Use for my Talent’ is, a masterpiece imo. Now that I’ve built the courage to start this series I now know that I was right to put it off for so long. They do not compare as far as quality. Use for my Talent had all the ingredients and I feel like clean with passion for now just has the toppings. First off, the 2ndML syndrome is real and prevalent when it comes to this adaptation unlike the Chinese version. I personally feel like the ML and 2ndML should have been swapped. The way I am just annoyed all around with this ML is something I rarely experience, he is a true thorn in the side. Not even the try hard “ cutesy” scenes saved his character imo. 2nd, The chemistry between the ML and FL is lacking. If I were to be put in the FL’s shoes the show would have ended as soon as the 2ML confessed, the next episode would of been a marriage finale honestly lol. 3rd, for some odd reason it seems like the FL in this adaptation is waaay more disgusting and unclean as compared to the FL in Use for my talent, which wasn’t a huge deal because she improved as the episodes progressed but it was just a turn off in the first few episodes. 4th, I personally feel like the relationship between the ML and FL gives forced vibes just to move the story along. The fact that she just all of a sudden started liking him off of nothing is weird, she had no reason to have feelings for him whatsoever, he did nothing special besides randomly kiss her and catch her when she fell off the letter, he was very rude to her in most of their encounters. There was little to no build up. In closing, If you have watched the Chinese adaptation first, I would say be prepared and don’t go in expecting much from this one in comparison, If you are going into this adaptation first, it is a good drama to pass time. It’s lighthearted with a little comedy and a spoon of ridiculous. As a stand alone drama I give it a 7.5/10 kinda recommend. If compared to Use for my Talent I give it a 5/10 heck no I don’t recommend but watch at your own risk if you wanna.
Hong sisters are so focused on Romance and comedy part that they have the guts to dismiss Naksu's strong character…
I actually think the romance expects added depth to the story as a whole and The fact that they took this female character who’s supposed to be this strong warrior assassin and brought her to a softer but still very competent development is almost like a representation of true feminine desire. Let’s not forget that she also became a assassin originally for the wrong reasons which everyone who payed attention should know. Basically she wasnt even destined to become an assassin warrior anyways. Evil provoked that out of her. She was a mid level mages daughter so she embodied the life that was taken from her by Jin Mu’s manipulation through Mu Deok. I personally loved this softer version of Naksu and hopefully she keeps that in the next season and hopefully romance still prevails despite t what happened.
I feel like this is the drama of the year honestly, it’s so good. I cant wait for part 2. Feels like I’m jumping out of my skin with excitement for this one. Loved Naksu’s character development after learning the truth about her past. Love everything about Jang Uk, they really did great with how they wrote his character and the actor Lee Jae Wook did perfect with bringing him to the screen, and he’s so cute I wanna scream. I hope they keep the romance between Uk and Naksu/Mu deok despite the fact that her body will be different and I hope the actress playing Naksu in part 2 will embody the original Naksu/Mu deok and keep the humbleness and soft spirit that was brought out due to her circumstances and love for Uk. Jin Mu needs to be taken down he’s truly a parasite. 10/10
Took me a while to start this drama because I thought it would eventually be put on Netflix or Disney+ America but that didn’t happen so I just went to dramacool…. Anyways. Absolutely loved this drama. It was comedic when it needed to be and it was serious when needed. A perfect mix. The romance was 10/10. MLs had chemistry imo even in the beginning of the drama before a relationship was formed. I liked how they affirmed each other throughout their “journey” of falling in love. It wasn’t the typical push and pull mess that happens in dramas sometimes. Now, I like when the ML chases the FL but when it becomes absolutely clear that the FL has feelings it should be a little smoother after that, ya know, which this drama gave. The ex girlfriend was annoying but the ML stood his ground and drew a line which was awesome. The ending gave, S tier level two happy ending. 10/10 overall. Highly recommend.
4:14 The romance bit was kinda toned down in this drama but I actually did not mind it because it was a really good and warm watch. I would have preferred more romance and affection between the MLs but the story, plot, acting quality and side character comedy made up for it. The chemistry between the MLs was great and the second ML wasn’t much if a bother. The ending got a little draggy but it was nothing a little innocent skipping can’t fix. Highly recommend. 8.5/10.
I actually liked this drama even with all the cringe. Didn’t mind the whole. “ Guy obsessed with girl” storyline because I understand that this is a FILMED SHOW and there is no need for me to add personal real life beliefs onto a literal show. Anyways, I recommend. Romance is there,MLs have chemistry. The drama isn’t too overbearing. The FL is annoying sometimes( not too bad) with the way she allows outsiders to come in and manipulate her relationship with the ML and she’s just oblivious to it. Other than that, it’s a good drama.
Romance filled and fluffy but got boring and lackluster around episode 18+ despite the pending drama going on. Drama =/= entertainment, storyline needed more texture here. I recommend as a filler drama just to pass time. MLs played roles well enough especially the female lead. Secondary couple had a interesting storyline during the end but they had no chemistry IMO. 7.5 rating
The ending was just okay(meh) but I laughed through this whole drama. Both MLS were awesome and hilarious. I feel there could have been more added to the plot and the end seemed a little rushed but overall it was a good watch, not a perfect 10/10 though but close enough.
The beginning was slow(melodrama like) but it was still somewhat enjoyable…until the ending. I understand that not all dramas can have happy and or decent endings but I personally watch them for the butterflies, infinite love and all that so the ending really was a downer for me. If I wanted to be disappointed I would have watched a different genre, not romance. One of my drama pet peeve’s is a ending where the ML’s don’t even end up together at all so there’s that. Joo Hyuk will always be apart of my top five though xoxo😊.
I haven’t really enjoyed, ENJOYED a drama in a while and this revitalized my love for dramas. This drama had my emotions all over the place which was the best part. When I watch a GREAT series I want to laugh, cry, smile and by the end I want to feel content and happy like I was the heroine in this story. I loved the story and the acting was just right. It was beautiful from the beginning to end. There were VERY small communication issues between the MLs that had me rolling my eyes but overall I simply loved this drama and the love story that was told. More dramas like this please!!! I Definitely recommend.
