hoping this does not come across as annoying but i don't think lee seyoung and ji sung fit in this example. she…
Nah, don't worry, I get what you're trying to say. Tbh Lee Se Young is a great actress and I loved Doctor John...that was one of the examples where I think it worked out for the drama and she actually pulled her weight. I know she technically wasn't a "new" actor (she's been acting before him, since she was five right???) but up until then most of her works were supporting roles, which is why I didn't consider her a "seasoned" actor. And in 2017, she was only being considered for Best New Actress in TV at Baeksang. I think she's proved herself to be a top actress now though.
For the Lee Seyoung and Jisung pairing, which one is the seasoned actor and which one is the newer actor? 🤔

Don't forget Park Jinyoung and Ahn Bo Hyun from previous seasons. People forget that Yumi Cells has always been…
Right!!! I feel like people are forgetting that this is YUMI'S cells...it's not and has never been about the male lead. All the male characters are like accessories to the female lead. It is primarily Kim Go Eun's show, as she is the main character, and that's why they are casting newer actors as her love interests. Although I would've loved a more established male actor to play the ML, it wouldn't make sense because they are more likely to pick a drama where they are the main character, or equally as important as the female lead.
All the actors mentioned above are way better than this guy . More than the age factor it's acting that matters.…
idk, I feel like some of the actors that I mentioned improved over time and were bad at first. But yeah, you are right, he is not great at acting right now, but maybe he did well in his audition. Hopefully he'll do justice to this character.
I mean, I'm not a fan of this pairing either (lol I wanted Seo Kang Joon as the ML), but guys i've learned to accept this isn't anything new...they always cast seasoned actors with newer actors. Some examples: - Jeon Yeo Bin and Song Joong Ki in Vincenzo - Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In in Something in the Rain - Choo Young Woo and Im Ji Yeon in The Tale of Lady Ok - Jang Ki Yong and Song Hye Kyo in Now, We Are Breaking Up - Lee Do Hyun and Song Hye Kyo in The Glory - Lee Se Young and Ji Sung in Doctor John - Yoona and Lee Chae Min in The Tyrant's Chef - Jung Hae In and Ha Young in a new Netflix show - Kim Tae Ri and Lee Byung Hun in Mr. Sunshine - Na In Woo and Park Min Young in Marry My Husband - Shin Min A and Kim Seon Ho in Hometown Cha Cha Cha Sometimes it ends up being great, sometimes it ends up being bad. We'll just have to wait and see. I don't think you guys should judge this pairing so much. Even Kim Go Eun was paired with Gong Yoo in Goblin for her second drama. I know she did a string of successful movies beforehand, but if these newer actors aren't paired with more seasoned actors, they won't ever get to that level lol. Idk, just a thought.
