Yes it's a real thing. It's possible she got pregnant by accident or unwilling. So instead of brining up a baby in a poor environment it's better to give the baby to someone with better background so the will have a better chance and more opportunities
Every series has flaws and issues of some sort regarding the story . No series is perfect and there will always be somethjng for ppl to comment about. But this series (in my opinion) kept these issues to a minimum. It was a nice simple romance story. Sure some parts could have been done differently but in general I was satisfied with how things were done and how it ended

They only announce the special after the trailer has aired and the current series ends. It's a break between two series. Series for their Friday primetime slots always get specials and series with their inconic pairs like ForceBook, they would never not do a special
