lol but seriously I believe FL thinks that ML is the reason for her father to be sent away and she trusted ML when he told her to wait he'll save her and her friend but he came back even though she begged him for help he didn't believe her and sent them to their death so she thinks if he accepted to save them then her friend would not die

but you forget that the king is already feeling guilty for taking the throne with a lie and he didn't even want to be king in the first place because he loves his brother but maybe he wanted to avenge his brother, protect his niece and nephew and then later on give the throne to the grand prince

I'm convinced he just said it because of his uncle and that's the only logical way cause throughout the whole series you can see he cares for the grand prince I believe he's a great man and would never hurt him

the "other drama" is just a simple soapy adaptation while MMH is so much more elaborated and different seriously beside the revenge rebirth plot that is so popular out there they are so different and this one takes time to explain that it's not just a simple rebirth but she has to exchange her fate that is why it may seem slow to some but I feel like it has the perfect pace
