When Hozumi held up his picture in front of his face and said to Minoru “Today, can I tell you my story?” and Minoru kneeled, and said “yes”….well… my heart ❤️ broke. The kindness, love and acceptance in this moment was beyond beautiful.
This series makes me miss Lovely Writer. It’s like all the actors from that series are trapped in a crappy parallel universe stuck in bad roles with horrible dialogue.
To answer the question we keep getting: Why are y’all watching this series? Answer: Zaddy Jeng. That’s all.…
I ask my question this weekly. Five minutes into the episode and Pat has begun his regular complaining rant. I wait for Jaab to grace the screen and do a hair flip and distract me from this annoying series.
Well we have some glances from Jeng torwards Pat and a dreamy smile after getting a (work related) message from…
A glance does not a series make. Not unless it’s surrounded by brilliant Jane Austin dialogue and there is like burning ass desire conveyed in the performance.
my two biggest complaints about this series is pats horrifically bad ability to not take everything so personally…
Agreed. Pat is not likeable as a lead character. I don’t really empathize with him and that is a must for a protagonist. At this point I don’t even care about him, i’m more into the secondary characters.
I was supposed to wait for it to be completed but I just started watching it and finished until ep. 4. Its not…
This series is really meh for me. Even tame GMMTVs Boss and a Babe is giving up more vibes than this series. By episode 2 that series has the two leads in a lip lock and it was clear there was a trajectory for their characters. It’s not like I need the PDA but I am not convinced Jeng and Pat are a couple.
Nap by Nap is what I have coined this series. Every episode I fall asleep 💤. Maybe it’s the slow pace or each episode seems to be uneventful, but I end up falling asleep and have to re-watch it. Also it’s episode 4 and there is zero hint of romance between the leads which makes me wonder what I am watching. It’s not like I need a snog-fest but there is zero chemistry. Pat has got to be one of the most annoying lead characters written. The comparable series is A Boss and a Babe and normally I’d be complaining about GMMTVs conservative BLs but that series far superior.
I enjoyed. Worth the watch. Refreshing and different.
I agree. It was not stereotypical and for that I give it high marks. It showed the complexity of love of all types and at all stages, from historical to new love. It had some flaws but I still liked it’s ambition.
Proof that storytelling rules. You can’t just shove two cute dudes together with lame dialogue and expect viewers…
it’s true it was like blah blah blah… you’re so sexy….I remember a line from a drama…. “I’m not an amusement park. I don’t just have fun and leave.“ When you hear actors deliver lines like that you appreciate brilliant screenwriting.
