I hadn't seen any reality shows before and if asked I would've said they weren't for me—for that it took me a little bit to get adjusted to the pace and style of this one, but actually it was less time than I expected before I ended up really enjoying it.
The three main actors are great hosts, the context and content are both interesting and unusual and home-y and funny, and most of all the atmosphere is always very kind, relaxed and inviting.

Impressed the the big sister character is such a bad person from such a young age. Just in Dramaland I guess.
I wonder if she'll develop into something else.

It's starting to get interesting in 6 episode. So watch 6 or7 episodes to see if you will like it. But I warn…
Hmm, it takes quite a few episodes then. The drama seemed a bit insistent on violence so it's possibly not very pleasant to watch long-term. Thank you very much for responding!

While this is a great show, Im Soojung's acting did not impress me here. Her overall vibe felt so contrived that…
Where did she show her best acting in your opinion? I'm curious about Im Soo Jung because the way she takes on her roles to me feels different from other actresses'.

For some reason I keep on thinking back to this series wondering if I shouldn't give it a second chance... So, I'd like to know from anyone who has seen it: at which point does it get good, if it's that good later on? Or did many viewers like it right from the start?
(As reference, I thought the quality in the first episode and a half was quite bad.)
On Flower Boy Next Door Oct 29, 2019
Watched most of the first episode, but not to the end.
I tried it for the female lead's uncanny lifestyle, but once I saw some of the noisy secondary characters and especially all the trouble the protagonist took to warn her subject of study/neighbour about his dog being in danger and finally not saying anything about it... I couldn't.

Still slightly curious about it, though. How was Park Shin Hye's acting later on?
On Chicago Typewriter Oct 26, 2019
I'm really liking Chicago Typewriter. Since episode two the plot completely drew me in, and it's only improved since. The three main characters are very sweet each in their unique way (the actors for all three of them are excellent too) and are communicative to one another, which is great for their development.
The story has a bit of everything and I love the mix, especially how the mystery and fantasy bits enhance the story without causing overwhelming changes in the atmosphere.

Also the soundtrack is way better than the average of what I've heard from dramas so far, both in instrumental tracks and songs with lyrics. It's got quality in all senses and it leaves me always looking forward to the next episode!

I watched burning before I had seen any K-Dramas, and finding out by chance who was in it I'm very surprised that the actor is the same Yoo Ah In I've seen more times by now!

30 minutes 1st episode: cheap acting, cheap scenes, cheap cheap cheap, very awful ! Are u guys blind?
Same. Even though I watched the whole episode, the settings (the exteriors especially) are too ugly to continue. The acting was probably the worst of it.

Some situations are hilarious but not in the good sense... Gaksital's flying about was entertaining though.

I know Korea is a superficial country and dramas are even more so, but you would think in 2019 they could finally…
I haven't watched this (I visited this page actually to find out whether it'd be good to do so) so I can't comment on the accuracy of this reading for the scene in question, but I'm glad somebody notices and points out these harmful hints and standards which might be particularly accepted in South Korea...
I remember watching a film some time ago, called Seducing Mr. Perfect, that was absolutely awful in this regard. It was constantly hammering on the protagonist's appearance from all directions as if she should naturally have to put up with it.
The worst part might've been that I don't recall that anybody (inside or outside the film) cared.

Watching this I feel like I have 2nd lead syndrome even though there's no "2nd lead".

Also, some scenes between the three male characters make me recall the interactions of Sungkyungkwan Scandal's great quartet.
On Dragon Gate Inn Oct 8, 2019
Sad that I couldn't like such a classic to its end.
Great scenarios, atmosphere, background details, choreography and other things alike, but the story starts by being thin, merely made up of circumstances rather than of a plot, and turns to vacuity with an insufferably long attack on a character whose fate there's absolutely no reason to care for. The ending offered after having gone through that doesn't help.
On A Touch of Zen Oct 8, 2019
Intriguing character exploration and slow-paced exhibition of virtuous filmmaking... But again the second half pulls that to the ground by throwing away character development for the sake of all the fighting and more that it had avoided up to that point, combined with spiritual complexities I could no longer care for.

It'd be good if I could watch later at some point part II as attentively as I did part I.

Title Sungkyunkwan Scandal Spoiler
The first episode was boring to me but soon afterwards I ended up absolutely loving the series. The main quartet…
It seems common in dramas to leave everything to do with a conclusion for the last minute and rush the ending despite having dozens of hours to spend.

In this case, the ending at least tries but I was quite disappointed with it. I don't know if anyone else would see it this way, but after the main characters being very unique and personal with their personality, problems, aspirations, etc., I felt the positions the ending boxed them in were really standard and only regressed what they had achieved.
It really limited the possibilities they explored throughout the series so personally I'd rather erase the last minutes altogether and make different situations for them.
On Sungkyunkwan Scandal Oct 8, 2019
The first episode was boring to me but soon afterwards I ended up absolutely loving the series. The main quartet is adorable to watch and their relationship develops really well. The plot almost never loses its pace and it kept on getting more exciting to watch as the characters became closer.
Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In's characters were the best and I especially enjoyed their characters because (besides having great personality and chemistry with everyone) I know I won't find the actors doing similar roles I could like as much.

I really missed the series even before it ended and Sungkyunkwan Scandal would've been a 10/10 if not for the last arc (slower and with messier plot=some expendable actions and outcomes. Less character-focused and thus not as great) and the ending.

Very high quality visually, but in the first episode the timelines are messy and there isn't enough on the characters…
It took three episodes to get into the story but from there the ending of each of them makes me want to play the next.

The story steadily keeps on improving, and there's still more than half of the series to go!

Very high quality visually, but in the first episode the timelines are messy and there isn't enough on the characters for me to be invested. Will watch some more in case that changes.

Also, lots of intense drama right off the bat about characters we don't know. I wonder if the whole series' situations are like that.

Whatever tf was going on on the first episode anyway...
The way the story is organised within the first episode makes me hesitate about watching any more of them...

Edit: I thought that but 10 episodes later the mixed events from the first one are still being dug out, so it's worth paying attention to eventually make sense of them better.

So according to rumors we will get season 2 in december, or did i misunderstand it?
I didn't see this December information anywhere. From recent articles it seems clear that the decision of continuing the series hasn't been made yet :/

Actually she had already read someone else's mind (was it Taehala, I can't remember clearly now)My guess is that…
That's a good point, actually I'm not sure if she has read anyone's mind more than just once, excluding Yangcha's. Maybe that he doesn't speak aloud (although he did once, quite randomly) is the reason why she switches to that kind of communication with him.
I don't think it's the story's intention to have the character die very soon, as the scenes with both Tanya and Yangcha are becoming more meaningful very quickly. There's sooo much ready for more development!
