To be honest, her mother looks so confused. It is possible that she is overall just feeling guilty because her daughter is stubborn and out of control in her eyes - instead of showing care and love, she rather punishes her or condemns her. I feel sorry for NN to have a mother who isn’t affectionate or supportive :(
