This drama has so much more than people give it credit for. I laughed, I cried, I worried, I was mad and upset throughout all of the episodes. Even if the cast was put together differently, or the story was done differently, I don't think this show could be what it was. It was nice to see the cast come together for each comedic and heartfelt moment, to take care of each other and help each other, too. I saw a few actors/actresses that I didn't recognize and thus started to take an interest in them, and I also saw actors/actresses that I knew and was glad to see them in a different character than usual or to see them just starting their careers. There are a few places in the story that were a slight bit ridiculous or way out of character for the story in general, but all in all, it was a wonderful show to watch! I wish there were more veterinarian shows to watch!

This show is a visual representation of how a detective novel should go when you read them. It has all of the "typical" stereotypes for detective novels/shows, but has the "behind the scenes" look of a drama show. The entire show is hilarious, ingenious, unique, openly honest, and definitely one of a kind. If you want a typical, thrilling, and suspense-filled crime/detective drama then this may not be for you. But if you would like to watch something that has an interesting story/plot, then this show is absolutely for you! I feel like this show is a good place to start for people who are just starting to watch Japanese drama's, too.

This drama started out a little slow, but it picked up with every single episode. It was a little like reading a book; with each episode, the plot and the story started to make sense and fill in unanswered questions.

I'm not one for music in dramas, however, this shows music fit into the show with each moment perfectly to set just the right mood for the scenes. The casting was well done, it was nice to see a few regular actors/actresses out of roles I'm used to seeing them in.

The story of this drama is a bit complicated in some, small parts of the show but if you pay attention it shouldn't be that hard to understand. Though that just may be me, personally.

I recommend you start with the special from 2015 first, but this is a very good drama to marathon!

This drama has way more depth than just doughnuts, however! I've never been so intrigued by a show than I was when watching this amazing show. Each episode seemed to fit together like pieces of a puzzle but never gave away the deeper meanings or the entire plot; or even any of the fantastic twists and turns within the stories.

Each character fit their roles perfectly, even if at the beginning I thought there were a few misconceptions, they all blew each one out of the water. I've never laughed or cried so much from just one episode from any show. I do think some things were unnecessarily repeated, but it all seemed to work out in the end, however; maybe they meant to repeat them as some sort of "refresher course".

This show was amazing; the show itself is categorized as being in the "investigation and manga" genre, but it encompasses so much more than just "investigating" and "a manga made into a live-action"... Every episode literally held so many different kinds of genres! I feel like this show doesn't have as many fans as it should! Absolutely give this story a try if you are a fan of mysteries!

I can't believe this drama only has 4 episodes! The cast and all of the stories should have made this a 12 episode series; or even 10 at the least! Each episode was heartwarming and very down-to-earth genuine. Each actor fulfilled his/her role to make this restaurant seem like magic.

I've never watched a show that made me feel so many emotions in such a short span of time; sad, happy, curious, mad, grateful... each episode was so full of amazing stories and feelings from each actor/actress. While each story was different, it all seemed to flow together very well and teach something different each time. The show itself left me with a very nice feeling; like something was still left to hope for.

If you're feeling curious or have no idea what to watch next, then definitely check this drama out. It is one of the most openly honest and real shows I have ever seen.

One of the greatest crime dramas I have seen in a long time! The script was really well written; each episode had a thrilling twist I never could guess. Each of the actors held their own throughout the special and into this series, but I really would like a second season of this drama, even after the movie.

Each character portrayed who they were almost perfectly, seeing their strengths and their weaknesses made this show feel a lot more real than most crime dramas I've seen that try to portray someone with "special needs" such as OCD, claustrophobia, or someone who is a perfectionist. Each "quirk" fills a need within each person and in the entire group, however the show does a good job of showing that people with "special needs" are easily picked on or thought of as strange or just ignored.

The stories were well written, very informative, and very thrilling to watch the ST Team work each drama out to find the truth. I began watching this show after first watching "Bitter Blood" and falling in love with Watabe Atsuro's acting, then I couldn't get in to it by the first episode so I stopped watching; but now that I've binged watched the special and then this series I am very glad I did not give up on the show! I like a handful of actors that were in this series and it was nice to see a few of the actors I knew in different roles than I usually do. I know I'm rambling on and on about the cast, but this is what makes the series: the people!

The stories kept me guessing with each episode; I had no idea what was happening most times but each story was very thrilling, exciting, and showed a lot about how people act and think and behave. Each aspect of the investigation had a spot for each person of ST to fill, and it became abundantly clear with each episode, that that spot was only able to be filled by their respective person.

The drama itself seems a bit short, or maybe it's that the episodes seem a bit rushed, but they need to be because the plot for the series moves along a bit quickly, and quite well, too, behind the scenes of each story. I don't think any of the episodes could be split in to a two parter, so the next best thing would be another special or a movie... So they made a movie! (I haven't been able to watch the movie yet, I can't find it with subtitles anywhere lol) I hope a lot of people can give this drama the time and attention it deserves; its a meticulous story that is amazing to watch play out!

I was so immersed in this show, I completely forgot who was who (aka Akanishi Jin & Taguchi Junnosuke from KAT-TUN and Yokoyama Yu from KanJani8) and just fell in love with the series! The cast was awesome, I immediately liked all six members of the Yukan Club!

The show maintained a pretty good pace throughout each episode; it wasn't confusing or hard to follow, each episode had a plot line that I couldn't even guess, and the guests for each episode were fantastic. It was nice to see a young Chinen Yuri's talent! Each character went through their own "maturing" period, I guess you could say, so it was nice to see them all grow throughout the show. I also liked the low presence of romance, too; don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a good romance.

I wanted to watch this drama before, and I'm not sure why I stopped in the middle of the first episode before, but I am so glad I finished this series today! It's hilarious, heart warming (sometimes heart wrenching), sweet and kind, sarcastic and silly, and one of the greatest shows I have seen in a LONG time!! This is why I don't turn my television on so much... Japan has way too many great shows!!

I think this series ended way too soon, it could have carried on for another few episodes; however, that being said, I also think this series ended very well. It was great to see the cast rounded out and all within a "happy ending", so to speak. I liked watching Yanagihara Kanako in this series, it was my first time seeing her talent and skills and I thought she did an amazing job! It was also hilarious seeing Endo Kenichi in a different role other than "serious", if you know what I mean. The guests in each episode were also really great to watch, I couldn't tell who the suspect would be and just got wrapped up in watching the entire series. Katori Shingo is a marvelous actor in this series; Hiratsuka Heihachi's personality, traits, and unique qualities are what made this show, I believe. Although, Yamashita Tomohisa's character (Saionji Kosuke) was pretty great with the comedic timing, witty responses, and his own personality and attitude. My only issues is that I wish this series had more episodes!

Mizushima Hiro and Oguri Shun are absolutely wonderful in this drama! I love how their characters act together; they are absolutely hilarious partners! I would love to see them act together again. After re-watching this drama, I noticed a lot more familiar actors/actresses and I fell in love with this series all over again. It does get a little cliche-love-story toward the end, but it isn't too bad and it doesn't make it so you can guess the outcome. This drama is filled with twists and turns; the work in this series is very unpredictable. I would recommend this to someone in a drama slump or just starting Japanese/foreign dramas. It is fast paced, but that doesn't mean it skips over anything or it's hard to understand. The acting in this light-hearted, almost slice-of-life, detective series is fantastic! The characters (actors) all have a wonderful rapport with each other and they bounce off each other's skills and personalities well.

I have to admit, I started watching the "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de" series because of Shiina Kippei... Then, once I found out the entire cast, because of Sakurai Sho, too!! It was a great series, it focused on all the cast pretty equally so no one got more camera time or no fan group got their toes stepped on, so to speak. I like that this special focused on Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro (aka Shiina Kippei) and his backstory. It was also great to see the build-up to the next special! I cannot wait to watch!

This series is great if you're in a drama or movie slump; it's also great if you just want to watch something light and funny. I definitely recommend this series and the special episodes!

I liked this drama better the second time I watched it! I first watched this show because I liked Shiina Kippei in the movie Quill, and to be honest, at first, I don't really think I noticed that Kageyama was Sakurai Sho... unfortunately. But... I am glad I watched this drama again! It's a light hearted show that kept me laughing and very intrigued to see what the cases would be about. I couldn't really guess the culprit's actions in a few episodes... the suspense isn't really big, but the twists and turns are pretty good at keeping the audience guessing, I thought. Definitely a good show to watch if you like Sakurai Sho and Shiina Kippei!

This show needs more than 8 episodes. It has a wonderful cast (who have a tangible respect for each other and work very well together), a fantastic storyline that (i think) is better than the manga, and the romance or rivalry aspect of the story-line doesn't seem to overtake any episode too much. It all evens out pretty well! But, by watching this, I definitely think this show needs more than 8 episodes! It's really very good; a very different side of Aiba Masaki's acting is shown in this series!

At first, I was watching this mostly because I had watched the Lucky Seven series first and I wanted to see more the cast and I wondered what type of story/stories would happen. I'm a complete fan of detective dramas; but, I mean actual detective dramas, not the love triangle shows with detective work weaved in and out here and there. I think Matsumoto Jun carried his character over in to this special episode well, Eita too; but I really liked that Iriki Mari (Kayano Mei) and Naka Riisa (Mizuno Asuka) seemed to "come out of their shells" even more so in the special episode! Also, the ending is absolutely fantastic!

At first, if I'm being honest, I cant say that I was really hooked in to this show from the beginning. The first episode was great, dont get me wrong! But, I feel like I started in the middle of an on-going series; so towards the third and fourth episode, I got extremely hooked! It wasnt fast paced, but it seemed like if you missed just one episode then you may have missed half of the story itself! The cast was really brought together well; their pasts and how it all came together seemed to mesh in to the on going stories well! If you're a Matsumoto Jun fan, then I would definitely recommend this; he does amazingly well! Although, I do have to say that I may like Eita more!

Clearing Crimes from the Public and Even the Police..?!

This story is fascinating and had me captivated from episode one! I still have unanswered questions about a few of the episodes, and I believe this show should be given either an updated remake or a second season; the cast, the mystery, the drama was intense and way too epic to just leave at eight episodes!

In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure what to write in this review. The music was an interesting choice, but most definitely escalated or calmed the story when necessary; like adding fuel to a fire! It was nice watching a few cast members I'm familiar with go out of their "ordinary" roles (at least that I've seen them in) or what seemed like they were either trying something new with this casting or testing their limits of what they are capable of. I think my favorite, oddly enough, was Suzuki Kosuke as Shibata-san, truly. The way he was portrayed felt like the rise and fall of an ocean wave; you don't know whats coming next, could be high tide could be low tide could be a jelly fish. Does that make sense? Even though I ironically began this series for two other actors, Takahashi Katsunori and Koizumi Kotaro. Also, am I the only one who thinks Hirayama Hiroyuki sounds like Okada Masaki? I'm excited to see what other shows he is in as well.

I enjoyed seeing the private lives of the detectives as well as the tumultuous lives they led within the police bureaucracy. The higher ranks dragging along the lower ranks, while at home dealing with personal issues ranging from familial to money to relationships. Each issue throughout every episode felt so raw and honest that I began to feel sorry and/or angry for a couple of the characters. Each feeling was portrayed so gutwrenchingly well that I felt sick to my stomach in a couple of the episodes.

I wish this story had 9 episodes, though it doesn't feel like the show was left on a cliffhanger, it sort of was left on a cliffhanger. I most certainly was left with unanswered questions, but I think that's just me and my hope for more episodes! Watching and rooting for the team of underdogs is always entertaining, and in some cases inspiring or even life changing.

If you enjoy dark, twisting, suspense and crime dramas... Then this story may be for you!
