I forced myself to watch the first three episodes. But to be honest...unfortunately it is just boring. I feel no connection to the mainleads, the plot is shallow and the comedian parts displaced. I won't continue to watch it.
A wonderful series that beautifully highlights and reflects the complexity of relationships. The inner turmoil of those who, on the one hand, are loyal and loving to their partner and want to hold on, but are themselves drowning in their unfulfilled needs and suffering to their pain threshold, which ultimately drives them into the arms of another person. You can always know better morally in theory, but we humans are complex beings. Honest communication is sometimes the bravest thing we need to be able to do...and what most people fail at...and admitting to yourself what you really need. The series reflects all of this in a compassionate way, no side is portrayed in a bad light and the actors, writers and directors have done a great job. This series is truly worth its weight in gold.
It's really a sad thing that the writers and director messed up. The story and the actors hdve do much potential ...wasted talent. I hope to see them in another series.
From reading all these comments I think I now understand my own feelings and thoughts about it. Many of us probably…
I see it completely different. First of all, it's not a similar concept to me because ThamePo is also about MARS and their group dynamics within the group and how to overcome all the obstacles and forces of the entertainment industry together, it's about friendship and love. PO is at the center of this as it seems to connect every dot of this complex series and the love aspect is just one of them. So it's okay with me that their love story doesn't take up all the space...at least so far. Thame has never been in love, so he has a lot to figure out.... Po was severely heartbroken and searching for his purpose in life...and they are development is realistic regarding all circumstances. Their chemistry is insane and you can feel their longing for each other.... sometimes it's more about quality time than quantity....at least for me. But it's ok if people see it different... I enjoy this show a lot more than Lovely Writer.
As a straightforward person who always speaks what is on my mind I don't like those toxic dynamics, it annoys me and for me the comedy element of this show is over the top and not my kind of humor...but I am a fan of earth/mix...so I'll put up with it and somehow it is nice to see them in a different kind of character. But in the end...I have to admit, these kinds of messy toxic trait of overstepping boundaries(boss), the inabbility to be honest towards someone and set clear boundaries (Heng) and over the top slapstick is just not my cup of tea....
My guess....maybe we get a time jump...I mean...the time in prison seems to be a. beginning of the pandemic....all characters have unresolved issues at home, unresolved relationships....the tenor of the show for me was that they created a bubble in prison during their time together...were there for each other, dreamed together and healed a bit but disconnected from the reality outside.... but now it's coming to the end of their time together...court cases...people waiting outside...old enemies...unresolved situations...I think both main characters still have a lot to work through and reflect on...plus Bible probably thinks he's not good enough...whether it's true about the wife and child or just him pushing Jed away remains to be seen...maybe they'll see each other again after a few years on the outside...after sorting out their lifes...maybe they will then able to learn if their connection during prison was real affection or just based on comforting and needing...I would love an ending like that, no matter how it will turn out ....
