If you watch Dangerous Beyond the Blankets, you might turn out like me, hesitant, cautious, then wanting to adopt…
You make a brilliant point. My opinion is that if an Idols wants to transition into a Actor, it should be gradual, they should garner experience. Starting off with cameos, supporting roles and maybe even a web drama. The abrupt switch doesnt work or is right. There are many rookie actors who have learned the skill that, could have used the opportunity
given to them. It doesnt seem right for a person who has had no pervious experience at all to be given a Main Role right away. And as you said the roles they are mostly suited for are either characters that lack emotions or ones that deliver over the top characters. They fail to portray intricate and complex emotions and characters that make the viewer think. There are so many rookie actor who have been trained in acting and could have used the opportunity given to the idols. But your statement about camera awareness is intresting.

You make a brilliant point, those are some of the main reasons for my opinon. I think if an idol is trying to transition into acting, they should start gaining experience by maybe cameo roles, supporting roles, or maybe a web drama. Jumping straight into main leads doesn't seem right at all.
And As you said there mostly sometimes suited for character that show a lack of emotions or described as "cold" and character that are over the top. They fail to convey or show complex and intricate emotions. They only Idols I recognize as actors are the ones that have garnered experience by playing many diverse roles.
