Keep at, pretty soon you'll be down to once and pick up terms, lol. I long for the day when I won't need the subtitles, lol. But for now, lol.... they help. Also, their acting is so well done that sometimes you just know...lol. Ugh, don't get me started, lol. b/c inevitably this takes me back to my favorite star, lol. and then I'll go off on a tangent. But what i will say is that he's so expressive in his expression, lmbo, that i find myself leaning in like WE'RE talking! lol ... ahh, I love this guy, lol. ..... fanningly speaking, lol...

I never thought about rewatching the old ones!!! I know, I almost lost control when I saw it appear in my viewing lineup and realized it meant a new episode was out! I watched 9 but denied myself 10 to make it last a bit longer, lol. And YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS you said it all, ALL those things have made it an amazing series for me as well. I think if you get to serious about it, it does make it difficult to appreciate all the things you've mentioned. Yessss, he doesn't look like he would do the things he does and the way he switches between innocent look to psycho is supper creepy, lol... but also just holds your attention. I really thought he was getting a soft spot for Dong Ju! I hope they don't ruin it either, but if everything that I've enjoyed thus far is any indication, it will definitely be a memorable ending!

Hmm, I love his character and think portrayal of Man Sik is the perfect balance to this group of semi-serious…
But that just points out why he can relate to the team, I think, and i find it to be a nice kind of silly. Are you a very serious person? I'm just genuinely curious, not judging, lol. And in fairness, it's his boss that keeps requesting these battles... which I'm secretly happy he does, because it gives Man Sik an opportunity to avenge himself of all the hits he's taken---as a grown man. :0

Yay! I can't wait! I usually catch these things long after they've been out; so, I've never really had to wait much. Do you know the release date or pattern for this one? Also, thank you for responding!!!

hi just paused episode 3 nearly half way through it and i dont like this lol. i thought it would be like the series…
Hmm, I love his character and think portrayal of Man Sik is the perfect balance to this group of semi-serious characters. I love how silly he can be one minute, serious the next, and caring throughout. I think if he were anything else, it would not fit with the overall layout of the series. I'm happy that you've stuck with it and found enjoyment; plus, the repeat characters can be a bonus, lol. Keep at it! :)

We don't need more cases, it's better to concentrate on one solide case with lots of events
I think it's more about, as OnlyYans mentioned earlier, fleshing out each characters' story than it is to hurriedly solve the case. In which case, the pace of that storyline is perfect.

Thanks for putting this into words. I agree with you—Dong Ju has been through so much, and he’s just trying…
YESSSSS he does! He's one of my favorite actors; so, I had to really work not to just dwell on that in my response, lol. So thank you for putting it into words--and confirming that I'm not just fanning out, lol.

I hope ppl understand a little bit what you said here, cz it's annoying how ppl are hating him to not using his…
It is, but then I had to take my own advice, lol, and try to consider why they don't get his character. Sometimes, we just need to pause, yeah? lol

UNDERSTAND YUN DONG JU BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE HIM

Now, I told myself to let this go, but when I awoke with it on my mind, lol. I accepted that I could not. I was surprised by the number of negative comments I saw regarding him. While many of the descriptions could be considered factual, I wondered if anyone ever gave a thought as to why that was so, or honestly; why it bothered THEM so much that he was these ALLEGED things? :-)

I challenge those individuals to take a moment to really look at his background and maybe trade places for a moment after that. He comes from an abusive home where he was too young to do anything about his circumstances and then later loses someone near and dear to him as a result of this. Yes, he had his friend and that friend's mom, but anyone on the outside looking in knows that never fully feels like it's your own, though he clung to them both, as they were literally all he had left. In a number of the scenes where he's struggling with loss in the ring, he's by himself. The same can be said for situations later in his career when he's hurt. He doesn't have family there butting in or holding him close....he has budding friends/old teammates and coworkers who care for him and are saddened when they realize just how alone he truly is--aside from them.

So, it makes sense that he pursues a sport that gives him the ability to defend not just himself, but more importantly, those without that means. Hence, the intro where he "reacts" to the news that his coworkers contributed to a crime, where he begins to unravel when his friend is jailed and later killed, and later completely comes undone when that friend's mom (his adoptive mom by this point) is attacked. All this time, he's been working really hard to keep a positive disposition despite his circumstances (loss, no home to return to after sports, adoptive mom declining to see him after the friend's death, his love interest declining his interest, trouble at work, scary health assessment, things becoming personal with the "bad guy", lol, his "friends" being negatively impacted by his decisions no matter how hard he works to counter that, etc.) that's a lot to handle and keep a smile on your face and kindness in his heart. I mean, isn't this possibly why Min Ju Yeong is as he is? Did you see his totally abnormal reaction to the happy family riding alongside him and the other guy's (who help move product i believe) comment about him having his own family and protecting them?

But i dgress, lol. Yun Dong Ju does keep it light and loving, even if sometimes that's forced, or comes across as overly silly behavior, or impulsive/protective reactions when those he clings to are threatened (because who wants to lose someone else?), and through his embracing of those fighting moments that perhaps gives him a little release from his own frustrations, insecurities, and despair that he bottles up and keeps to himself--have you ever noticed him talking to anyone about any of these things? Could you remain unaffected by all that... when the bad just keeps coming, you are denied even time to mourn the loss of, yet another loved one--and in a senseless and unjust way, that you, as someone in a role to provide justice, cannot accomplish--the right way? Talk about being a child in that abuse scene once again....

As for his affection for Ji Ha Na, well, how could he not seek someone that snatched his attention so violently, lol. (Ha Na you could have helped him up, lol) and who showed him a token of affection when he was at his lowest? Especially someone with her own struggles who clearly kept to herself except those rare moments where his need outweighed her own self-preservation? Can you imagine wanting someone you felt you might not get but whom you could not ignore, when you'd had so little affection--of your own, not tied to your situations, in your own life? Well yeah, it might come across as annoying, or silly, or whatever. But that kiss in her doorway was ALL GROWN UP. ;) And of the two interested in her, lol. HE is the one SHE can't seem to resist... even before AND AFTER her relationship with Kim Jong Hyeon. LOL, just saying.....

Cut my guy some slack, try to look into his WHY before you attack his WHAT. Very little is black and white, and usually the essence/truth of either matter can be found in the gray. ;)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DRAMA!!! It's a rollercoaster of emotions and so fun to watch. I love the camaraderie and the messiness of the villain--who plays his role really well, lol. I've watched all 8 episodes and am waiting on #9....so hurry production, lol. This drama does exactly what it's designed for, bringing talent together in a fun and basic way to accomplish a goal...episode by episode. I just enjoy and embrace the moment/episode I'm in and when I do, it's hard to make myself not binge, lol. or despair that its end is on the horizon; because I enjoy the TEAM, the case and all the nonsense wrapped up in that is a bonus. ;) So chill, be, and enjoy. ;)
