The second season would be nothing but pointless. What else would they show there? It's not like a story of detectives…
The summary of the entire discussion was to show that I had bravely refuted all your arguments and answered your questions perfectly every time. However, it also aimed to demonstrate that initially, you point to one thing, but when I heroically disprove that point, you shift to another. Hence the expression "moving the goalposts." I wanted to show that I was on to you and would not fall into the trap you had set.

And I answered the reasons that deserved a response. But we can go back to your earlier comment and address the others as well. Your number 1 in the comment points out that this drama has 3% more viewers or something like that than another drama, which was also good. So, your argument, if I understand it correctly, is: "A good drama did not get a sequel, this one is also a good drama, therefore it should not get a sequel either"? And to that, I respond that there is another good drama that did get a sequel, so this good drama can also get a sequel. Just because a drama or something else has similarities with other things does not mean they are exactly the same.

Your reason number two talks about some boxes that need to be ticked. A season two can be inserted between they get married and one of them dying. Or before. Or between. Or after, with resurrection or that the death shown in season 1 was just a bluff to cheat him out of money. Of course, one would have to write season two in a way that it fits together.

Your reason number three talks about a drama costing money, taking time, and requiring actors. I counter with a question: show me a season 2 of any series that doesn’t cost money, take time, or require actors... what is the argument here really? Yes, it will cost, take time, and require actors, that applies to all movies and dramas regardless of whether it's season 1, 2, 3, or 54.

So now I have flawlessly answered your reasons. And honestly, I did not think any of them were particularly strong arguments which is why I did not address them before, but now it is done.
There are many movies and series where a season two or part two was not planned but was released anyway. To name a few out of many: The Signal, Taxi Driver, Pirates of the Caribbean. They released a movie or Drama just for fun, saw that it was appreciated, and decided to make a part 2.

Finally, regarding all the self-praise, I am only trying to be as objective as possible, I believe that many who read this discussion between us would agree with me that the descriptive terms used are objective. I do not want to insult anyone but when someone makes a statement that a drama will cost money, therefore one should not make a drama, it feels a bit difficult to respond to and, above all, take as a serious argument.

However, I still believe that there can be a season 2 of this drama and I will watch it too. My reasons are thus that I think there is more to be explored in this world and series. There are other characters and perspectives to investigate. It was appreciated by many viewers which means there is a chance that these viewers will watch season 2 as well.

"Our hero" is a literary device used to describe the main character in the following paragraph. Compare it with the two following sentences: "John walked down the street to buy a piece of pie." and "Our hero walked down the street to buy a piece of pie." In one, you know which person the story is about, while in the other, this "John" character could just be a random individual without any significance to the narrative. And whether he was good or not doesn’t matter, it doesn’t add anything to the argument, neither does it whether you are good or not in real life.

And what does the dates has anything to do with anything? You initially claims that a season two would be pointless and there would be nothing to show there. And that it’s impossible to make another season. That is your stance.

I then heroically come in to save the day once again with my sharp observation that it is indeed possible for more seasons of this drama. To support this fantastic statement, I provide a couple of examples of future seasons with intriguing and exciting premises that would undoubtedly attract viewers.

You then respond insecurely and apprehensively to my fantastic idea with an inquiry, to leech off my brilliance, asking me to provide evidence, I quote: "show me at least onne korea dramma where them make a season 2 or three. I dont knows of any suchs".

And to put a nail in the coffin, I do exactly what you ask for, providing you with a season 2 and a season 3 of a drama. Not only do I prove you wrong with finesse, but I also humbly elaborate on the philosophy behind my reasoning with the beautiful line: "Every good thing once didn't exist." As I said initially, it's possible that there will be another season, and only time will tell. (another fantastic finish of a comment and a sentence)

This is where you move the goalpost in your last comment, rambling about dates. You never asked me to provide a drama where there was a season 2 or 3 without it being announced at the end or within a week of the airing of the first season. Furthermore, it doesn't make logical sense either. Yes, that one was written for more seasons, but your original statement was about the storyline of the drama, not about any specific date setting or how it was written. I brought up "Penthouse" since it's what you're asking for: another story doing the same thing with another character (her daughter). In season 1, the mom goes shopping for pancakes and comes home with a piece of pie instead, and in season 2, the daughter goes shopping for pancakes and comes home with a piece of pie instead.

So In conclusion – I still think there’s a possible that there will be a season 2 or season 3 to this one. It’s been similarly done before. Only time will tell.

The penthouse season 2 and 3 comes knocking on the door in triumph.

Alas, I'm not only here for celebration of my intellectual victory but I'm also here to teach. Even if it wasn't the case that it didn't exist (which it clearly does), that doesn't mean that it won't be able to exist in the future. Back in the days a young king in Portugal disadvised our hero Cristóbal Colón from going to cross the sea to the west since he claimed that wasn't the way since "As far as I know, a land like that doesn't exist". Then our hero Cristóbal Colón took it upon himself to search for backing elsewhere, he went to Spain and there they did help him to fund the journey. To make a story short, he found america.

So just because something doesn't exist yet doesn't it mean that it will be bad. Every good thing once didn't exist.

In conclusion - I think there will be a season 2 and perhaps a season 3 to this one as well. However only time will tell.

It doesn't have to be pointless, they can write it so that the male get cancer instead and he loses his memory and she has to romance up him and make him remember everything. Or that the parents loses their memories, but maybe that's better for season 3. So don't count it out yet, i have a feeling that there might be another season.

This story is finished, there's no cliffhanger, so you can watch it without worry. The ending is just an opening…
Thank you for the reply. Your kindness will not go unnoticed. It seems like there's still some good in this dark world. Then I might watch this one next all thanks to you.

Will it get a season 2? I haven't watched this one, but i don't want to watch it yet if it gets a season 2 and i'll have to wait a year or two to get the whole story.

Solid to get a main role out of the woods. Hopefully she get a new main role as something romantic, i'd love to see her intense eyes staring at something else than her enemies.

Had enough. Dropped it
Why? Too scary? Too slow? Too hard to understand? Too many characters? Give me a hint so i can take that in consideration whether i should watch it or not.

Idk if i read this right. You cheered on Sumin? Why is Jiwon the villain? And not to spoil your fun, but Sumin…
Yes, I cheered on Soo Min, how could I not? Just look at her, her pretty eyes, long black hair, slender body, expressive mannerism, cute voice ect. Her beauty is out of this world, and she's 37?? Like what?

And I don't believe you, the last episode ended with Soo Min managing to set that pretentious other girl on fire and end her snobbery. After that Yoo Ji Hyuk walks in on the whole ordeal to see what's been done. After that Yoo Ji Hyuk understand that she indeed was a snob and pretentious and see that Soo Min is the real star and that Ji Won only have been trying to copy our lovely Soo Min. With that he falls in love with Soo Min and they get married and lives happily ever after. That's how the last episode ends in my heart and mind.

Impressive, you even adapted the lingo to 2015, that's dedication to the article, I mean "buckle up" and "Brace for impact", no one would use those terms these days.

Please let her have a main role or be part of the principal characters next time, she has future 🙏
Main role already? Simmer down will ya. In what role would she fit as a main role? I could see a pirate movie/drama if anything but otherwise she need a few more side roles to grow into her place, she's not bad but not quite there yet.

Why is PMY so skinny man
I don't think PMY is a man but a woman, that could explain why she's skinny compared to a man.

Can we ban Happy Birthday comments? They only make sense on one day of the year, yet they stick around forever.…
Agreed. So much good info disappears behind that birthday spam. She's a good actor, for what it is though.
