Well Jin Hwan did tell his friend on the phone that he was only with Min Jun out of pity and Min Jun heard him…
"Well Jin Hwan did tell his friend on the phone that he was only with Min Jun out of pity and Min Jun heard him so that's bad enough."
I really thought it was Min Jun's imagination, caused by his low self-esteem.
"If he really was just going to meet a regular friend then why not be honest and tell Min Jun about it? And why would he tell his friend that he was only with Min Jun out of pity if he really cared about Min Jun?"
I finished watching episode 5, this is what I think.
I love the music. Everything is so well chosen. The piano, the melodies; everything is in tune with the atmosphere. The actors did an excellent job again.
I think Akin is afraid to show his emotions. When Jin got the award for the Sexiest Man Of The Year, I just felt something stir inside Akin. All those years he held that torch proudly, thinking that no one could take it away, but now someone else sat on his throne and took his fame away. That is what Akin was afraid of. He did not want to become a star, afraid that the light of the star would lose its shine or fade. He wanted to show his hard work through acting and not get lost in momentary success.
I feel like Akin realizes that Jin is about to take his crown; he is about to overshadow him. The constant push and pull of fame and succes over feelings makes it hard for Akin to express himself, because he is used to the determination of one thing: being the best actor in the world. Therefore, that's why Akin used the script of "The Legend of Gemini" to express his emotions.
And when he sees Jin winning awards, being very popular and getting more fame than him, his own feelings hit him like a truck in the face. He is not used to this and decides to ignore his rival. However, his feelings for Jin are getting stronger and that is why he decided to speak the truth.
Phew, I just had to get this off my chest before I went to sleep. This episode was so good, I can't wait for episode 6!!
Mhm, okay. It seems like they want to make Jin Hwan the bad guy here. I don't get why he's pulling that "can I have your phone number?" trick again after all these years and their history together. Idk, for me he's just adding a little bit fuel to the fire. I wonder if this was all a big misunderstanding (I hope so) or if he just cheated. I hope we can get some more backstory next week.
I'm glad we get more communication in the next episode because at one point I was just staring at my screen and thinking how this could have all been avoided.
Oh yeah, in case you haven't noticed, the actors from 'Summer Indigo' are also in this show (:
Right, I'm so tired of people misunderstanding Jin Hwan. He's not a red flag.🤦
The part where that scene with Jin Hwan and his friend replayed in Min Jun's head for the 2nd time is his thought/nightmare I think. You can see it from the blurry edges and the filter. And also because the spoken lines were not the same. He filled in the blanks with his own name, assuming Jin Hwan was talking about him that day.
My guess it that he's overthinking. He had listened to a phone call that he thought was about him. That probably made him insecure and he didn't ask about it that one night.
Jin Hwan- "What did you say?" Min Jun- "No, it's nothing."
He didn't think about clarifying things. He ignored Jin Hwan for 8 years. That's why Jin Hwan wants to go and find him and therefore also applied for a job in the same company.
It's going to be tough between these 2 guys. What do you think?
Listened to the OST before watching. Beautiful. A masterpiece. Once Again has been in my PTW list for 2 years now and I finally decided to give this a try. Will come back when I'm done💔
Edit: Wth?? The music in the first ep is already so good!!!!
Edit: I cheered to early, didn't it?ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ His case hearing is set for April 15th and when he's guilty, he faces a max. penalty of 10 years in prison.
