How much cheating is in this and does anyone get happy endings?

I have a question did the surgeon's wife cheat on him? if so why make her face his the woman who hurt him? apparently the surgeon was sweet, gentle, loyal and loving and yet she chested because he was boring ? fuck that bitch. I'd take boring any day of the week as long as he's loving, loyal, sweet and caring.
