I see, I've read what you've put and it does make sense. I guess the only the downside to a sweet soft kind character is they let people manipulate and walk all over them. I guess both characters need a wake up call, I don't think he should change in terms of his sweet kind self but if anything maybe he just need a backbone and the ability to stand up to himself and do/ have what he wants On the FLs part she needs to be more honest about her feelings and if anything lash out and explain the situation of his problematic mother. If he constantly does what his mother wants instead of supporting and and siding with his lover...then it would be a difficult relationship. At this point both need some self reflection.

to be honest I'd say the exact same think if the genders were swapped. I understand wanting to see the stand odd ish and cold characters change their hearts and minds due to the influence of love. I usually love seeing the playboy / playgirl change their ways after falling in love (which is opposite to this drama I know). But regardless if it's the ML or FL who's treating their potential partner like trash it still makes you want to see them with other people. Of course like almost every other drama the ML and FL will have a happy ending but I'm just waiting to see when FL will change and accept her love for him. Right now (like I said). I'm just not liking her but it depedns on her reasoning for being cold.

Not really liking FL, she's cold and cruel to the ML and has the audacity to get jelous after seeing him with someone, especially after ending the first love thing. Right now I have no sympathy for her. ML deserves someone nice but his mother is a joke

it's giving I don't want you but others aren't allowed to have you either. First she tells him to stay an unhealthy weight and now she's preventing him from having a love life. Also there's nothing wrong with ML, he's a sweetheart, sweet and gentle. Way better than all those toxic, cheating red flag characters. Yeah I get the love for bad guys, you know like the characters in Bloodhounds, but there's so much hate aimed towards ML. He just needs to stand up to his mother.

I want to smile until i feel warm and fuzzy and I want to sob until my eyes are sore and puffy.

There's seriously cheating in this? the cheater / mistress isn't linked the first or secondary couples are they. I hope it's not a main part of the plot

I feel the exact same way about a certain few over hyped dramas. I'm all for bringing positivity to shows and i do a LOT but I've left my fair share of negative thoughts, mainly on cheating dramas but that's just me. If it's not your thing then its not your thing. Nothing wrong with saying so.

I really don't get Toshiki's deal, tampering with the evidence or not at least Senju's going out of his way to close these cold cases and bringing justice to the victims and closure to the families. Not gonna lie Toshiki pisses me off.

I'll be honest when it comes to medical or law based dramas Korea and Taiwan are the best but Japan does add a certain hmmm....unique comedic spin...if you will on it.

Of course sexuality doesn't have anything to do with it, cheating is cheating regardless. The only time it's not cheating is if it's SA (OBVIOUSLY, i just thought i had to make that clear). I have seen certain women and men glorify and swoon over male characters cheating on their girlfriends/ wives with men...which is messed up... but for me it depends on the Blackmail, unless he or his family are at harms way due to said Blackmail there's no excuse (I'm sure therewas an explanation but i just can't remember (i have other shows on the go lol)...although during the blowjob scene with that one character he did look uncomfortable. There was definitely a spark between him and Jed, like a comfort type of thing.
