At least he kind of got the death he wanted, sith her by his side but from her POV it's a nightmare, a painful one. Death is such a weirdly beautiful but devastating thing. Depending on who you are, if you are the one dying or if you are the one by their side etc... so are scared of death, some are at peace and welcome it. Really depends.
