no that was not the original rigging issue. basically knetz discovered that mnet fabricated matthew's here i am fancam rank as it was not in proportion to other contestants, paid for his promotion outside of the show before it even began (even though this is not allowed in their official rules) and rigged him as a "shiny boy" representative through those fancam ranks. when mnet was pressured, they still didnt reveal the original data. the same investigation team that investigated X1 is now in charge of monitoring this issue.

just to be clear, i do not hate matthew, i am simply reporting whats been going on in naver and other forums regarding this.
however, i do agree with their demands to release the official data. if they have nothing to hide then they should be transparent about it

the most major argument is which got the most traction on naver news:

"due to the freezing phenomenon mnet had changed the deadline. however even if the youtube freezes, the channel owner who uploaded is able to see the views in real time. so it is difficult to understand why the voting deadline had to be changed. why choose 7 am as a point to deal among numerous time divergences pointes after the freezing phenomenon was discovered?"

a lot of people screen recorded at 10 am kst and zhang hao was ahead in all of them.

knetz are actually joining in the discourse. it's only blowing out of proportion because mnet never issued transparency in their earlier rigging allegations, they just issued a notice skirting about the issue

kfans are calling out mnet on the pyjama party stream from yesterday and speaking about how it was a poor cover up for the view rule change notice

some questions they asked:
- likes were not freezing so why is it only counted up till 7am?

- The account that posted the video can see real-time views without freezing… (If you enter the administrator mode, you can know the exact number of actual views even if it is frozen)

- “the aggregated data as of 6am (KST) and 7am (KST) showed that the results for the killing part for both final mission songs were the same”
but it’s not the same as of 10am?

-youtube was eating up zhanghao’s views until 7am in the morning and spat it out after that

-what about the last 3hrs of views we worked hard to stream?

-what is the standard of setting the deadline to 7am? can they change the rules according to their own will?

in the notice they mentioned that the trainees had agreed to this rule change but could they ever had said no lmao

it makes me sad that this is the final time we'll ever see zhang hao get a high ranking even though he is completely deserving, all because of sinophobia and wrong choices by voters who drop him thinking he's "safe"

ikr.. he literally changed the solo dance in over me so everyone could be a part of it even though it was his first time doing the kpart after wishing for it for so long. he listened to all his teammates suggestions and mnet tried to make him look like he was an incompetent leader for doing it.

even when he got the least lines, he shone. most of the people who attended the live recording said he left a strong impression. same thing with over me. he's a born performer.

im really scared. i've seen it happen to xiaoting and also to sunoo. both of them were on top and ended up barely making it to the debut group. i really hope people vote for him because i can't bear to see this happen again, not to him :(

zhang hao is 23 and most auditions these days are looking for 2003-2013 liners. he's also in yuehua entertainment, a company that's infamous for not managing their artists well.

he gradually built up his popularity from the beginning. in the beginning, many people used to say he would be the first centre to not debut in the final group, but he's come far from that. yes, it's true a lot of koreans have a positive opinion on him but when it comes to one-pick they would choose others over him. according to the plethora of polls conducted, his korean one-pick voters seem to be low. he always ranks 5-9 in these polls. he isn't even the most voted contestant in china, his home country.

he got accepted into the the topmost geoscience university in china (5th in the world) but his real passion was music. when he joined arts college, he didn't perform well and the principal advised him to go back to his old university. but zhang hao didn't give up. he kept working hard for 6 months and ended up getting the highest CSAT score in his province. he also began dancing in college, and he's attained surprising mastery in less than 3 years. his vocals are god tier, he really never misses. and good lord does he know how to perform. his charisma and stage presence is insane.

does this talent deserve to go to waste just because 1 korean vote = 7 times 1 global vote in the finals? will he even make it if koreans aren't voting for, japanese people aren't voting for him, chinese people aren't voting for and neither are the rest of the global voters?

i know right... i was fully prepared for them to lose. then mnet kept dropping these hints like they put the performance last, showed ricky was po7 and left a note that said the points were based on added benefit, even showed us the recording of over me. but i really didn't get my hopes up until they showed that over me had scored more than say my name.. and then en garde...
zhanghao is definitely born to be on stage

ikr he's so mesmerising. all the members added their own unique flair to the performance but watching the zhanghao fancam was a whole different experience for me.
i know it's hard because he's a filler pick for a lot of people, and the korean votes are way lower than the global votes but i hope he stays up there because he really really deserves it
