They've done the casting call 3 weeks ago. Hollywood Thailand need to do a pilot episode first to be accepted for production. Everyone is expecting a big thing from this big studio. BUT, it is NOT YET CONFIRMED as I said. I have been around so many drama and movies that people expect but never got anything after the pilot. For your information, Pilot episode are not aired because it's very low budget. It is just to see the actors chemistry and the setup of the director to make it good without costing much. Plus the expectations of the writer AND the negotiation with China (it's a communist country, so the rights don't belong to the writer, but to the country).

Actually, it is filmed in China because the rights of the books are Chinese, and so are the actors. China can ban the actors if they cannot stop the production. It was a compromise to let Taiwan produce the show. They can't say "China made a BL" because they didn't, but they also can restrict the production (no real kisses). Many scenes have been cut by the Chinese government for the first season. Taiwan said that if season 2 is cancelled, the uncut version will be made available. Yet, don't expect much, because it's all about cut dialogues than actions.

Also confirmed there will be an open ending similar to the ''untamed''. They've also confirmed that additional scenes will be released after ''the smooth broadcast'' of the series. (But I guess not in the Mainland of China). It seems the writer is being very careful this time and wants the series to air fully and not be pulled from airing, something that Addicted had to deal with in the middle of the first season. Even if it is a Taiwan production, the rights and the actors are Chinese. If Fans are again pushy about the actors (BL shipping is prohibited in China), the actors can be suspended and not able to work together or be seen together. So, they are VERY careful. I would be so sad if we don't have a second season next year because of that. The show, and open ending seems unfinished... Support the actors BUT don't make comments about their sexuality or ship them together, and don't let people do it either on any social platform.

Now, about the show... Today I re-watched Kiss Sixth Sense because it is in the same calibre. If you didn't like it, you wont like My Lovely Liar. It is a romantic comedy. They are many American Rom-Com I don't like. But I don't go around saying "This journalist must have been payed to say this". When I don't like something, I say why. I don't make it personal. It's just not what "I" like. Or, I just don't like the actor and the way they act. But again, it is MY opinion. There is a difference between giving your opinion and being a bully (or a Karen).
Concerning the "alleged text", it hasn't been proven because they're supposed to be between Build and Poi, but with all the lies and fake things she did, I have a serious doubt about them. The way he talks about Bible, that was NOT the way he looked with him through everything. He had apologized about some comments he may have said, but, if it was true, don't you thing it would have had repercussions by the cast during the tour? Poi said she had access to his social media. How far do you think her jealousy could have gone, especially toward Bible? Did you listen to the phone call? I have, in full. And he defend Bible and the cast. Many young actors who played in BL doesn't want to be branded for the rest of their career as such, especially if they're straight. First for their fans, second for their family. Many parents are ok for their kids to "play gay" to make money when they're young, but when they get close to 30 (age of marriage in Asia), their parents want them out of this and thing about marriage or "regular" career. Even some gay actors have to play in "regular" drama pass a certain age because of family pressure.
