I think his only priority at the moment is getting out of 2016. He's not focused on trying to adjust to the present and I understand that he should be concerned that he's basically stealing someone's identity but if I were in his place, I'd be concerned about getting back and hoping the real person doesn't show up.

Also, we're just in the second episode and hopefully in future episodes, everything will unravel in it's pace.

So far, I think he's really doing a good job.

This is just the second episode so he's focused on getting back to the past and isn't really thinking of adjusting to living in the present time which may be why he isn't thinking about how his family is living now rather he's thinking of how to get back to them.
