Finally finished the drama and I loved that ending with no residual feelings at all. He did propose to her before coming into the real world. I was looking forward to watch after the Mausoleum Arc and there was only Rebellion Arc with death of lovely characters. I'm happy both Wanyin and Dan found closure in the transmigrated lives 🎉

That ending OST, is it from the How Dare You ! anime ? I feel like I have heard that Da Da...sequence from the donghua

Late to the party as I watched Season 1 of the donghua and I know I'm in for a comical ride full of laughter 🤣

It is, all costume detective dramas have the clues spelled out loud and a list of 2-3 potential suspects. The cases sometime bring in a 4th person as the killer. The guessing game works but it's a gamble from the viewer's perspective. I remembered Wang Xingyue has another drama where he was the Investigator with a murder accusation on himself.

The 2nd case named "Flower on the Wall" focusing on palace attendants released from duty was the longest so far , taking a whole 6 episodes. There hasn't been any rush so far let's hope it's that way till the end
