Saw the trailer of the later ep... so it seems like LMX will get death sentence from HY bcs he chose to act for…
Just on one point, i don’t think that HY had time to make a « strategy to capture the counsellor quietly » as you write. I understand that he was cornered by the left counselor at that moment (he confessed this in the following eps to LMX). The counselor was about to revele the real identity of Wen Shuo right there publicly and he couldn’t risk that. His action was out of desperation because of the urgency of the situation.
If I remember well, in the novel it is even clearer. The left counselor was on his way to tell the emperor the truth about WS and HY had no other option to stop him than this most definite and brutal way (if I am wrong please novel readers correct me).
Argh… LMX … i don’t understand why he was so cruel toward HY in the last ep in the scene under the rain. It was totally unnecessary. HY was already down with remorse for what his family has done and was already willing to do what he can to atone for that, no need to add more. It was really hard to watch because HY is such an easy target and defenseless for this.
I get that he wanted to send a message to DZY but he didn’t need HY for that. What this makes me feel is that this comes from jealousy because he knows that deep down DZY loves HY. And I don’t want to see him as someone acting under jealousy.
In the novel (which I have read in a very bad translation so not sure of all the nuances), it seems to me that LMX was much more considerate towards HY and even liked him to a certain extent.
GJ’s acting was so so good here …. In fact from the beginning I am each time surprise by how good he could act silently when he has no line to deliver.
i honestly don’t like the ML and FL chemistry. his love isn’t as strong as it should be & his sense of justice…
Hello first time here I would like to react to your comment because I have read quite a lot of similar complains about HY.
Well my take on this is, if we look at his actions, when he first knew about her real identity he did go to both DZY and LMX and ask them about their next move so that he could help but neither of them was willing to let him in. HY is described as someone who live by justice, of course he would have helped to investigate if she had included him in her plans. Even when he says he only believes in proof she didn’t tell him anything about the elements of evidence she has. The position of LMX and DZY is to use him but they never wanted his help. And because he is left in the dark he is not confident that she could win and knowing the cruelty of his father he was afraid for her life that’s why he begged her to stop (and wait until he could be in the position enough to protect her from his father).
And during the banquet, when he starts to see where she is going, he did step in whenever he can to use his position to help to deepen the investigation and not let the case pushed down under the rug. To me HY couldn’t do more than that.
