They are hired through talent agencies, youtuber agents ect… they are basically following a laid out script, they don’t have “lines” but they do have agendas planned out for them. They are not allowed to act like they’ve met before. Reality shows are not really reality and I would bet they went their separate ways romantically after filming. They also are involved in fan servicing if the show is popular enough.

Coffee Melody is much better than an over hyped, under delivering, wanna be a mob boy BL full of toxicity and abusive behaviors, throwing shade on the gay community (once again), There is only one character that practically carried the series. I agree, I hate to read posts condemning a series with only one or two episodes being aired. I have seen so many lately, give it a decent chance. I love Duean Yi character so far he is bold, adorable and that smile! I see a trend starting, if the characters aren’t kissing and humping by the second episode people start to rant. I can also bet most of the haters are trying to promote another series by exaggerating in the comments. Sad

First time dropped after 3 ep aired. Trying again with FF on overtime and still cringing after 6 eps. Dropped again

Time to come back to reality. Watch “BL Broken Fantasy” this is a documentary about the dark side of the BL Industry. There are also youtube videos of the hidden facts of BLs, search dark side of BLs. Take your own advice “do not believe everything you read online”. So yes, their production companies encourage them to take any role to help advance their careers. And many BL actors are Homophobic. Directors speak out against the abuses.

My country was full of reality shows, Imo opinion they are overrated. They show a whole different side of humanity, people are willing to hate and stab each other in the back for a few minutes of fame. Some end up together? SMH, maybe until their contracts expires. Most participants will tell you it destroyed their lives.

Why I don’t like these shows, they pick from a pool contestants that are wanna be actors and you see several in different “reality” shows. These shows are scripted to a point, so not truly “reality”.

But since you brought it here, try watching “BL Broken Fantasy” Most BLs being made have homophobic actors and directors, its all about money and a stepping stone for careers. The Documentary shares stories of actors/crews throwing up after kissing scenes, along wiping their mouths and rising with Listerine. It also tell how actors private lives are ruined by the shippers/ production companies. Another point is a lot of BLs are toxic asf for the gay community.
