Yes, numerous great dramas are being destroyed by that plot. I don't have such high standards though. I am not saying a male lead should be a virgin(if the female lead is as well) or something, but still. Personally, I would prefer male lead marrying two women at the same time, than him having multiple girls before or during his relationship with the female lead. I just can't stand a female lead trying to get attention of male lead who is a womanizer(including him having concubines). For this reason, there are only few period dramas I enjoyed. 1) Step into the Past(old one). 2) "Faith"(was nice). 3) Queen in Hyun's Man. 4) Dr. Jin. And some others, can't remember now. This drama seems for me if plot is strong.

They were actually monogamous though. Today people have relationship with one person, then another, then another - and call themselves monogamous. But this couple were actually monogamous for their whole lives. Only after his wife became very old did he cheat and then when she died, he got himself a few concubines. I am historian and they are my favorite couple. I am looking forward to this drama as well. <3

Weirdness can be sign of intelligence though... But I understand, most of Korean dramas have lovely but very unintelligent girls trying win others' hearts. :D

I know the difference of course. But similar people should be dating each other. Womanizer is fine unless he does not lie and also does not start relationship with a virtuous girl. All those dramas where some rich and popular womanizer gets targeted by an idiot "Cinderella" who tries to win his heart is just disgusting. One thing that I hate is lack of self-respect. Would a virtuous boy try to win heart of a slut? I doubt it.

"At least a womanizer is not married to any" - Ah right, he did not sign some sheet of paper with someone right? Then why is cheating considered bad? Man has just one wife right? And On a sheet of paper it's only one woman's name written next to that man right? :) I I am historian and I know what marriage means. It lost a meaning in modern world long time ago.
